...and mine altcoins with OC settings, right? I don't think warranty works in that situation.

What you basically say is that mining void warranty? And how can you know what exactly has happened to the GPU when it failed? Assuming that it had stock bios.

Actually I mine every day with some mild settings so I can work in my desktop at the same time. But I'm pretty sure this isn't the thing that caused my problem.

This time while I was doing nothing special, my pc shouts down instantly for no good reason. I guessed it was the voltage that jumped too high for a moment and caused it to shut down immediately such things happen sometimes where I live. I unplugged the computer and after a while I plug it back in and try to turn it on. That's when It happened.

Mining can be more expensive than it looks Cheesy If the card has its stickers, no signs of tampering, radiator removal or water stains you should get a new one. I had a similar thing in Asus card but in my case one of the lines near memory chip burned. Tell us how it went.

If you plugged it in and the capacitors went, then they were bad, and it should be replaced.

Wow that is shame, if you really just plugged the computer in I would hope they exchange it.

It's a gigabyte 7950...With 2 exploded capacitors (they weren't capacitors). Pretty much unusable atm, My PC won't even boot! Sad Gigabyte has such a bad customer service in Greece. I'll have to take my card to where bought it tomorrow.  Any idea if burned capacitors fall in warranty? All I did was to plug my computer in...

Update: Good news, I took the computer to the store I got the card from and They'll return the card and fix it by next week.
