Yes it is, Thanks for fixing it. What was the problem?

You may have been caught by my custom DDoS protection. I received reports of this from one other person as well. I wonder if it's somehow been banning people too greedily. I'll keep an eye on it, but please let me know if it happens again.

I am having a similar problem right now, the access to Bitcointalk is zero to very sloooow, what should I do ?

I think that I found the problem. My anti-DDoS system got confused by the new year and was randomly banning IPs. These bans are removed and the bug is now fixed. Sorry about that!
Glad to see there was a fix for that.

This may be resolved now, but if you had this problem, please PM me:

- The IP address that you think got banned.
- The Web browser and operating system you use the access the forum.
- Any other software you use to interact with the forum, such as RSS readers.

I tried to get on a few days ago and was having issues but today seems for me. Are the issues still happening for everyone?

I was also experiencing the same problem.

Edit: I'm just accessing through a VPN service but I don't want to use this can someone help me with my problem on how I will able to fix connecting to bitcointalk using my own IP address? I hope theymos will fix this.

I tried to turn off my router and on for a while but still not working. What I did is I turned it off for almost 5 mins and and it already worked.

If I connect from 4G WiFi router or 4G phone it works.
I have a static IP and restarted router, still doesn't work.

Do you have a static or a dynamic IP?

I had the same issue this morning for an hour. It made me mad  Kiss
So I got 4G on my phone and logged in, worked perfectly. Realised it's an IP problem.

I turned my router off and on, new IP, fixed. Try that if you can.

Hi, I'm having the same issue as we speak.
Everything was working fine until today, can I get some help please?
Same here. Works through Tor, but doesn't work with my normal connection. Everything worked well yesterday, and when I woke up this morning, the site wouldn't respond.

That is very plausible, recently I have been using a google extension VPN service called Hola which provides the same IP's to their users, it is possible that other users on this site have been using Hola. I was talking to a friend of mine about it and he told me that he had the same problem for a long time and had to use his laptop instead of his desktop to access the site.

If it is a problem I could recommend that it could send a user to a stickied post when they try to access the site where their account could be reviewed, that is if you think it is necessary.

Thought I was the only one having this problem. Forum was fine in the morning and I suddenly had issues accessing it.

I had to use my mobile data to access the forum, still isn't working on my home network as of now. Any possible remedies?
I really don't understand this, I can't of think of any reason why this is happening. I still want an official answer why this is happening.

Edit: 1gBit internet, can access anywhere but this site. Tried with different devices. Only worked with my mobile network with a different ISP.

Odd that you can't reach the site, while i can enter the site, i cannot request account information.
It gives me "Request is processing. Please wait." then in the end "Request Failed" trying other browser itself doesn't work.
I think the problem was on the other end.

Everytime for the past couple of hours, unless I use a VPN, that I try to connect to bitcointalk.org I get the error message: "This site can’t be reached bitcointalk.org took too long to respond." At first I thought maybe I got banned or my alt "Sweeet123" got banned for whatever reason, but I logged into both under a VPN none of my accounts are banned, anyone know why this is happening?

The only odd thing going on is my internet has been going out a couple of times and my internet is pretty bad lately, maybe this could have something to do with that.
It didn't happen with me lately.  You should check the status of the forum here, in the future, to make sure whether it is really down or not.
Not sure if this should go in Meta, or Beginners and Help. Let me know if I need to move the post.
It is a forum related query, so it is well posted in meta section.
This is really unusual, it if it works on a VPN and doesn't work on my normal IP, there is some issue with my IP/Internet when connecting to bitcointalk.org. I have checked my firewall, even trying to disable it but this seems to have no correlation, Maybe it is possible that my IP has been blacklisted although I did nothing to warrant this.
