Haha. I can remember when people didn't see any use for the internet. But, nowadays it's become part of our normal life. Although, I do find the internet is involved in anything and everything. Nearly every single company/job requires internet. Even if it's just for advertising purposes. The internet is like a living organism. It's going to keep on growing.

People ask the same questions for a lot of things that look flaky and geeky. That doesn't mean that every single one will succeed.
I 'm into bitcoin 100% but i find the bitcoin-internet analogy a pr buzz argument and nothing more.

Back in 1990 I was running a BBS.

We would use chat, fido net, net mail, games and files.

By 1992 I found myself and others connecting our boards to this new thing called the Internet.

By about 1994, people were asking, how is this internets useful?  What can you do with it?  I don't see the value in it.

Besides most all of my friends now finally reading my book, and really wanting in to Bitcoin,  I was talking to a lawyer friend about this today, who started saying the exact same thing about Bitcoin as people who asked about the Internets.  The reality is that people have been asking these questions all along, but I just never put it together..

It gave me warm and fuzzies.  We are back to the same spot.  If there is a correlation to be made I hope Bitcoin grows as much as the Internet did.
