Are you saying this because Facebook has blocked ads on cryptocurrencies and somehow you are thinking that there will be less people interested in it.

Well Facebook is a major social media that influences anything that exist but I think it won't affect btcoins and other clubs that much.

As long as many are already equipped with bitcoins knowledge, it will spread.

Fake news will remain false.
We just need to focus more on the gold effects to help it develop more.

We can't do anything much about the banning and it's up to us to let them see how useful it is.
i think it doesn't matter if facebook  banned crytpo 'cause there's a lot of ways to advertise bitcoin which is through, twitter, and youtube and etc , so no need to worry about it ,the must important is to hold and convince some friends to buy now especially those people who want to invest in real state refer bitcoin instead.   and also we need to collaborate to destroy those fuds which the main reason why the price is suffering right now.
I agree specially to dispose weak hands that kept the market so weak. Those people are ruining the industry. Just like what is happening in the forum which cleansing the shitposters that make the community worst.

This logic will only hold true for so long, if we continually shake off weak hands by allowing whales to manipulate the market with FUD then we will reach a stage where no new investment comes because investors are afraid of such a scenario. It's important to always have new money coming in, even if they are in it for the wrong reasons.

The ongoing scenario is not similar to that of the things that has happened in the past. In such a way, its been described by the Op. In reality from majority of people's statement it is clear that bitcoin has the potential to grow bigger and better at the shortest. Possibly each and every time the volatility will vary with the market. One such thing is the ongoing price dip and bump.

The price of bitcoin gets back before the last ATH's. Today's the price of bitcoin last year, I remember it was Oct or Nov last year before it gets higher and have a big investors. But now I don't know of there are still big investors will invest, not that we have dips. We already experience a long time of dips and we all don't know when to burst up again. It's already February 2018 by the way.

This time isn't different but the people is the one who made it different.

People will never learn. I get it that noobs just having found their way into Bitcoin panic and tend to take fud for granted easily, but when even long term members act in a similar fashion, it get's a bit embarrassing, don't you think? It means that they haven't learned anything from what the market has been doing throughout the years. We have been through severe volatility before, and they still think that the volatility is a problem for the price. We have been through severe fud attacks before, and they still think that fud is damaging for the price. WTF!? Current levels are the ultimate proof that the market in the long term doesn't give a single f. about volatility and fud.

Who pays people to post this kind of things? Can I get similar
job to write against Bitcoin here and to be paid for that?
This time is different said one little member, probably he wish
Bitcoin to be $100 again so he can buy whole Bitcoin, now its
too expensive for him.
People do not be panic-sellers and fall on this garbage. It is what
I think, this fudsters can just trol around. I am a bit annoyed cause
they do that here. Go to FaceBook and spread spam there, you will
more likely to agree Mark Zuckerberg.

For bitcoin to rally again it would take more than people knowing about bitcoin. It would take people USING bitcoin. It would also happen if people could buy bitcoins through the stock market (not futures).

This.

The press is starting to pick up on the fact that merchants are abandoning bitcoin:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2018/02/02/heres-one-reason-why-bitcoin-is-in-freefall/#5866497067c8

Quote
Bitcoin may be in a freefall because demand for the cryptocurrency as a usable form of payment is slipping, if not dying altogether.

At least four companies have given up on Bitcoin transactions.

...The futures market is struggling to nail a price on Bitcoin.

The normal state of the futures market is backwardation. The opposite of backwardation is called contango, meaning the nearby futures price is higher than the spot price. Supply and demand are out of sync. You see contango in markets of scarcity. Bitcoins are finite. Demand for them as a transactional currency is eroding.

Basically what he is saying is that even though bitcoin's supply is scarce, if demand is even more scarce because no-one is using it, the price drops.

No doubt the original poster doesn't know.   None of us know.   The same for the people saying that 'it must recover.'     The market has no 'must.'   I think it'll recover and continue to increase in value just because it's still not really mainstream, but I have also seen a lot of commodities simply just stabilize and find equilibrium.   That's actually a good thing for most currencies.

Just think those bag holders, they'll probably won't their investment turns to dusts so they'll surely do something about this, who knows they're cooking something.
FUDS and trolling are everywhere and what the community needs the most is the people who's still believe and keep holding. This time isn't different but the people is the one who made it different.

So we've had dips before.

And I think this one has a lot further to go, don't be fueled by today's rally.

But in the past bitcoin has always come back, grown stronger, gained more followers.

But this time, there won't be new followers. Well maybe a few, but not in the orders of magnitude that have happened in the past.

Practically everyone knows about bitcoin now. Next time it upsurges there won't be the fresh blood incoming, getting carried away.

So yeah, probably the last time you'll see bitcoin near $10k, will be today.

Enjoy.

the price starts to increase and maybe what you're saying it will happen today but we want to see the price will increase more than $10k. bitcoin and altcoin today give a good sign to increase although not all coins are trying to increase and there are many altcoins trying to break the higher price. I hope that in next week we can see something different for bitcoin and altcoin so we can start to sell our coin to make a big profit.

Yeh this time for me is different I can say that bitcoin will become more popular and with help of this, I can spend my earnings from bitcoin with lots of hard working and willingness to wait until the value increase and its worth the wait. Before im just an ordinary person who always focus on online games but now im enjoyinh with the bitcoin and will have a sallary too.
Enjoy your salary with a full member account for ever.

No.I disagree with you.Still bitcoin's price is much higher than its previous price before ATH when it was just around $5,000.There would be still new investors coming in to the market.

Now,bitcoin has reached to even peoples of vast region and many were waiting for such price dip and so they would be ready to buy bitcoins.

Still now, there is no such asset or stock in the world which could give such returns. So,bitcoin would not be neglected by new followers and it would be still adopted more.

Price is still much higher than $100, what about me? I bought at $20,000 where are these new followers to buy them back from me? wall street bought Bitcoins, wall street sold Bitcoins.
No mainstream is coming to save us, when wall street is buying again, price will increase, when China is buying again, price will increase.

You've gotten a few things wrong here.

One is that bitcoin doesn't have as many adopters as you think. The percentage of people who even know about bitcoin across the world can still expand exponentially, let alone the amount of actual users or adopters of the technology.

Two is that bitcoin hasn't hit $10k again, but I think that it will next week.

Worst case is that this is the last pump of 2018, but I don't think that's going to happen. And even if that happens, bitcoin will definitely bounce back to a higher level in 2020-2021, when the halving happens once again.

I don't agree. Sure lots of people have now heard of Bitcoin but very few have actually bought. Once the average person starts to buy Bitcoin - and there being so few of them - the price will start to rocket.
A good opinion and I agree with what you said about bitcoin because after a lot of people listen about bitcoin but very few people buy it, but if bitcoin begin to increase its purchase price automatically some people chase pursuit to buy it.

I guess it does not don't get and follow the dump of price in bitcoin is just a swing of prices in my opinion because the era of bitcoin is done this is the best time for the investor to invest their money in and that means in the coming years the bitcoin will pump again will the higher prices that will be sure in my opinion. Bitcoin will pump in the coming years that will be sure so still hold your bitcoin will you don't have anything to buy but remember panic selling will just pump the market down.

If you see why the btc keep crashing is because there is split/hardfork etc the investor has split their money into many places..
Just like when you see the btc crashing.. did you see all other alts? they all join the crash..
It's because they all investing using BTC not from FIAT!
If you combine all alts volumes into one volume then you will see the Cryptocurrency is rising like crazy in the past weeks or months..
When people realized this then people will start saving their btc more then all those alts that almost all of them starting showing signs of scam or has scammed peoples..

Known is different  from heard. There are still millions of people who doesn't know bitcoin and another millions of people who have just heard bitcoin. Those who have known  btc when it got $10k and got carried away and invested are still only a small number and they come from those who are very active in the social media so we still have a long way to go.

I do not agree with you. Bitcoin encountered a lot of difficulties during this time. Many people are distrustful of bitcoins, they worry when the bitcoin price drops below $ 10k. But I still believe bitcoin, bitcoin has many advantages to become world currency.

Because in reality we are not born in this way. We are in stable condition and stock market as well. bitcoin is volatile same as cryptocurrencies but what i love in volatile market it makes you rich that easily by holding them long. I don't sell when the market is bearish. trust me! the power of holding is real.

There's a BIG factor to consider what makes this one different, and it's this:

When ppl rushed to BTC last fall it was because "everyone" was making money off it. Now those ppl lost a lot of money and will never invest in it again + will spread the word + the news since last fall's ATH has been followed by crash after crash.

I pulled out a lot and though still invested it's mostly just a handful of moonshots for fun + a couple solid utility tokens.

Yes, many know bitcoin and would love to join, but they will wait and see until they decide whether to join or not. If they join once, I think the price of Bitcoin will soar so there's no need to worry about the future of Bitcoin.

You just said that in the past bitcoin has always comeback or grown stronger then you would suddenly dictate that this time like it's this moment will be the last time that it will be higher value. Can you even be sure with your judgement just because bitcoin can go up or down with in large amounts? I don't think so. bitcoin can comeback always and won't die easily just as we've seen this time the value of bitcoin has gone up again. It will still hold on as long as more people believe.

No it is not different, bitcoin has a better and bigger potential in the future. It might surprise you but there are still people out there whom don't know about bitcoin or it capabilities. Probably this are the people that will make an influence in years to come. Moreover, I do believe that even without new investors, bitcoin can still reach another level.

Personally, I believe some cryptocurrencies create value in the real world. In any case, the cryptocurrency market is still in its infancy, so we still have enough time. History also shows that the market is always able to rebound.

I agree with flippener, there maybe some who heard of it or knows about bitcoin and what it's capabilities but somehow those who might heard of it may be doubting on how it goes and. They are in the FUD mode on how to start on bitcoin and what I see on the future of bitcoin is that it has a lot of room for some individuals to start.

I do agree with it's different this time.  People will wonder what exactly is the purpose of bitcoin.  Is it a get rich quick.  No.  Is it a store of value.  No because it's too volatile.  Is it a currency.  Not really because it isn't accepted in enough places.  In fact hardly anywhere.  This could all change of course.  But people should ask themselves these questions instead of blindly following these calls buy buy buy or sell sell sell.  Why do they want to put their money into bitcoin.

actually if those who enter and invest their money to turn here already have sufficient experience of experience then bitcoin will be more advanced again and certainly may be different not like now, the user is not easy to panic that one of them, the price is quite stable because the user already knows how trade, which makes the price rise is the presence of new users who enter but they also have basic and experience about bitcoin then the price remains stable like that which makes the price down is due to panic sales

I'm still sure bitcoin will be a lot more followers and bitcoin prices will get stronger every year, I feel bitcoin price is still strong and expensive, we can see bitcoin price in the year last year that is not overnight prices now, in 2018 I believe the price will be higher than at yesterday's price peak.

You think so? I don't see it like that. Not everyone knows about bitcoin. And there are also someone who knows bitcoin but hasn't yet invested on it. Last year's hype was just a preview of what will happen on the coming years. And every year bitcoin's rollercoaster ride will be wilder. Just hold tighter.

honestly I feel like that too, i don't think it's ever gonna reach it's ATH again. Anyhow, I don't think anyone can really predict crypto at it's current stage, so we just gotta wait and see what'll happen in the next few months.

I don't agree. Sure lots of people have now heard of Bitcoin but very few have actually bought. Once the average person starts to buy Bitcoin - and there being so few of them - the price will start to rocket.

Enjoy.
