You should not worry too much regarding that message. As you have already said usually that message comes from Faucetbox, but to me it has also happened when I was using Multibit Classic 0.5.18 and always when I was receiving money from Localbitcoins this messaged popped up with a red ! . Just disregard it as it will go away once a few confirmations are received. I agree though, moving to Multibit HD 0.3.0 should be a priority for users of Multibit classic as the classic version is no longer supported.

Hi all,

sorry to bring up an old thread but after some advice - I have just received this same message and am wondering if I should be worried. I'm hoping, as Lucius experienced, that when the transaction confirms all will fine but I think I'll have a niggling doubt about it even if all appears well. Will spending the same BTC going forward be an issue? I am running Multibit Classic v0.5.19 (and planning on changing to HD as soon as possible!).

Many thanks!
It could become an issue as more and more nodes upgrade with to those newer standardness policies as your transaction may not be relayed. I recommend that you upgrade your wallet as soon as possible so that you don't run into this issue.

Thanks for that - yes, upgrading is now a priority. Looks like the transaction confirmed in the end, so I guess that it will be okay going forward but time to move away from Classic!

I get a warning for a transaction I received sometime.I pay attention to see is this happens in all recived transactions or only for some of them.

It will be only for some, the reason for the message is most likely the malleability[1] that was crudely fixed recently. Older clients will create transactions in a way that is now considered non standard.

Thanks for the clarification.I noticed that this happens with transactions that come from FaucetBOX.It has never represented a problem for me, but I was wondering why this is happening.

Hi Guys,

I'm not sure what's happened but I received 0.33372462 at this address: 1LZNqjVoBZfVVamwQZXf4LUAZe3Cknpgyf

Then after 3 confirmations and a few hours I sent it to another address:
1HqGFCEK4oi8Dd5rjmQwe7vMNFbTcvd4eJ (TX ID: eacccb00cb1bf4c8e07444b7a9a652348ac801568b47807d7c8c98359a2a694b)

But the transaction apparently never happened.
I closed the client and re-opened and my bitcoins have not returned and the transaction disappeared for my MultiBit 0.5.16

The last transaction in the wallet which shows me receiving the bitcoins has the status "This transaction is not standard and should not be trusted. Seen by 1 peer. Appeared in best chain at height 393,956."

What can I do?

And I get the same warning:"This transaction is not standard and should not be trusted".But when the transaction has confirmed all is fine.I use MultiBit Classic 0.5.19.

Do you get the warning for a transaction you created or for a transaction that you received? MB Classic should not create non standard TX.
