this looks great, testing the app right now!
notes: crashing after initial setup on iphone 6 and 6s. $7 monthly for a pro chat - would users just go with irc to find some pro input?) you could make all chats free and use it to grow subscription base

WTH Is this?^

But to the point I'm not a huge fan of mob rule. The public is pretty darn easy to manipulate, and most folks in this industry are what would be considered low info investors.
Not necessarily stupid but have lives to lead and cant always be up to date on their investments.

We are all here because we believe in the promise of decentralization, the freedom of information, and importance (or lack there of) of trust.

With all this potential, the crypto world is still full of noise, fraud, scams, manipulation - all extremely damaging its reputation and hurting progress along the way.

I've spent the last 11 months working on finding a solution, a way to help promote quality projects, while demoting and flagging those who are shams or guaranteed to under deliver.

That is why I created *Cryptonomy*, a community-based social network for crypto-enthusiasts. By using a combination of crowd-sourcing and reputation-based curation, I have engineered a platform that positions quality and authentic content at the center. Cryptonomy is a place to discover, deliberate and engage about various topics in the blockchain and crypto world, all in efforts of building a healthy ecosystem which can let true work thrive.

I've built a whole array of features, from portfolio tracking to direct messaging, community management to a robust feed with news, forum posts, reviews, etc.

My handle on there is @royth. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback. Let's make crypto great again!

decentralisation is a myth, the reality will be shiftation of centres, many icos that are called scam icos werent scam icos just unsuccessful icos.

i would do my research of medieval renessaince time prerevolutionary financial systems, like the one of the european nobility, which had the right to mind issue coins, and were oversawn by the roman popality, the reality is that something like this will exist and also be desired by the people. that want the value of their labour protected.

In my opinion, the Buddy project is a project that can completely change the blockchain. Because of
Automation GRID
Decentralized infrastructure for running an infinite number of automation tasks for app development
DevOps Marketplace
An app store for developers by developers with solutions that automate application development
BlockchainOps
Development automation bots made for smarter, better & faster Blockchain apps

The reality is that we have too many scam ICOs that we thought. And we know only one solution that might work. This solution tries to implement Komodo Patform. Decentralize ICO (dICO) and Decentralize Autonomous Organizations (DAO) presented by Vitalik Buterin. dICO should help to protect us from scam!

there is this new forum communit called scamico.org, maybe you join up with them best thing you can do is create a neutral evaluation service, but dont get to perfectionsitic having idea or visions can be very easy, what becomes more difficult is getting popular support then,

icos might be all looking good but they are competing for limited ressources against each other

Like what KingScorpio says, all you'll end up doing is creating yet another sect where early adopters just upvote each other, building up a small circle of reputation heavy opinionists, highlighting their good calls, burying their bad ones.

Look at Steemit as an example of how bad this can end up. Not saying there won't be any good opinions, just that reputation will end up concentrated on the monopolies, usually those with more resources.

Crowd wisdom is also something I'm really not a fan of, even if recognised for the ability to actually move opinion and, therefore, markets in the direction of the masses. Good economic sense maybe, but short term and low value otherwise.

How can you gaurantee that all the 'votes' from the community will be legitimate votes and that none of them will be 'bought' votes or just made up accounts from one ICO's pool of resources?

First of all, you will soon be able to see who upvotes what, so users will have full transparency on the upvotes. More importantly though, there is significance to the "reputation" a user has when it comes to promoting content, so 1000 upvotes from "new" users has less weight than 100 users whom have earned reputation on the platform. Not to mention, in-order to sign up you have to verify your email/device, making it a bit of a hassle for intruders to abuse.

I do agree thought that this is an issue with many other platforms like reddit, which is why I am focussing deeply on the integrity and transparency of the platform!

the problem is that.

all attempts to promote "quality" projects are in the end nothing more, than attempts of finding some rich people that already having a lot of ressources looking for money earning cattle, and then pumping them, which is ridiculous, why do decentralisation then in the first place?

if you want "quality" why dont you just go to the federal reserve and their "ripple" scam, they have a "quality" project they funded countless manhours to develop their project, and bribed countless people indexes exchanges and media to get attention.

there you have a "quality" project.

regards.

The idea behind Cryptonomy is that the community as a whole can have their say on what they deem worthy or not. User's who constantly contribute quality content increase their reputation, which in change adds more significance to their votes. There isn't a perfect system yet, but I believe this is a much more effective way than anything else that is currently available, and I'm constantly working on making it better!

na you will end up with sectish systems that merit and upvote each other to push their agenda.
