They seem to be a very promising coin. The only altcoin out there that uses HDD space to mine and they even have their own asset exchange which works something like a stock market, in addition to the very low electricity  used to mine (because they use disk space and hard drives use 10 watts at most each) compared to other coins that allow CPU/GPU/ASIC mining. Very unique coin indeed. What are your thoughts on this coin? It feels very undervalued to me.

Reward recipient can be set online, wallet set up online and all that, The forks come from impatient people downloading the wallet halfway and then tinkering around. That is the biggest drawback there.

I always like Burst, and always will I think. The main issue with it is the constantly accidental forking. Most new users can get started without downloading the entire wallet software and suite. Everything to start plotting can be set online, except the plotting and the same for the mining.

Love it and hate it at the same time. I love it for the asset exchange which is full of interesting ideas and nice community. I hate it because the overall wallet and network is slow and very clunky to use especially during forks which some people abuse. Scammers creating assets and running off with the burst is rampant with barely as repercussion makes my blood boil.

Burstcoin is definitively one of the more interesting altcoins. Apart from the "HD mining" feature, it has also some other features which people aren't talking much about:

- Crowdfunding: a simple mechanism to do a crowdfund in "Kickstarter" style - the "crowdfunder" receives the money only if a certain threshold is reached.
- Atomic Cross Chain trading: It provides a mechanism to trade coins with other blockchains without any centralized exchange as intermediary (the same thing Blocknet is promising). Unfortunately, for now, only Qora (an even smaller altcoin) supports that mechanism, but most other coins could implement it, too ...

These features are possible because Burst features a Turing complete smart contract language, like Ethereum. That people aren't talking so much about it is probably related that the programming language is not so easy to use like Ethereum's Solidity.

As for my review upon gathering information about Burstcoin, I learned that it is said to be the next generation crytocurrency (2.0) next to bitcoin.

Well that "2.0" thing was a recurrent marketing gag some years ago. It's so 2014 Grin

Yes, I agree that the forking is a disadvantage. I figure that if the devs try and stop this (I'm not sure how as I'm not a programmer of any sort) it would be better than bitcoin in every aspect (smart contracts, insanely small fees, etc) but it seems like it would take ages to solve.

If a coin is easily mined, this can mean that it can be easily extracted by other and in large quantities, and this may mean a lesser value for this coin, as there are many.

And this calls my attention since it has to be that good to be called as the cryptocurrency 2.0 to look forward to for it is expected to be better than what bitcoin has already done. In addition to burstcoin, it is said to be the one of the most energy efficient within the field of proof based cryptocurrencies which is a great deal to attract its market.

Nice, How many burstcoin you have?
