I don't think thought is useless. they keep us turned on till we get our goals but yes nowadays prayers are useless

Thoughts and Prayers is an expression of sympathy typically offered toward the victims of large-scale disasters and tragedies. Prayer is our way to communicate with God. Through it, we can release all our loneliness and burdens in life. It's like we're just talking to our bestfriend. Through it, we will be able to release all our anxieties in life. We could also ask for help and guidance throug it. Through our faith, we could really move things.
Good pick up line but I do not agree with you. Thoughts and prayers will be our guide and it can sometimes give you strength whenever you need. When you are tired, pray for some energy that can help you finish the day. I always do that. I realize that most of us are busy and there is no one that can help us if we are tired. Depending on one's beliefs, whether thoughts and prayers are useful. but for me the prayer is one important factor besides the effort to be done to get something that is in my desire. because prayer can fulfill the needs of life and also provide peace for life

Prayer is our direct/address line to God. It is the process that allows us to talk directly to God. In our prayers, we adore Him, we ask Him forgiveness for all the wrong things we've done, we say our hearth felt thanksgiving to Him for all the blessings we received. Prayer is very important in our daily living, so, we must pray without ceasing.

My thoughts and prayers is for world peace. No more wars. There will be no division of nations. Prayer is the only means of bringing orderliness and peace & repose in our daily acts.
Prayers are just prayers if we didn't do anything. No matter what we wished or asked for it, it still never be granted if there is no effort in our part. A lot of people just pray and pray to succeed in life but all they do is to wake up late,eat, watch tv and use smartphone until midnight. I hate to say it but a lot of people are doing this. I agree with you that one may have thoughts and may not pray about it , but most of the time prayers comes from the thoughts of the hearts and believe in the words of God. Thoughts may come as a result of challenges or prolong expectations which may lead to prayers .

We often try to ask the heaven, may be God, something that we think we need, what we think is right. In this endeavor we sometimes don't think about what is considered from the position of the heaven a request an appeal. What thoughts and words go quickly upward to the heavenly office and why and which remain unanswered..

That is really something I have never understood. Why should a god or God who knows everything and has a plan for everything listen to our prayers and change its plan afterwards? Shouldn't he know beforehand what we want and why should he bother what I want since I would not understand his plan anyway (per definition)?

I believe that prayer is our way of communicating and reaching God. Through prayers we are sharing all our problems and burdens unto God. We are able to express what we feel through prayers and we are able to ask what we need through prayers. Prayer is a powerful weapon of those who are in need of help.

I respect your ideas which you have mentioned above but Thoughts and prayers are completely useless without effort to reach our goals. If people wants to gain their desires , they must work hard for them. Praying just brings inner peace not realities for sure.

For me, prayers is talking to our internal being, our creator and thoughts or meditation is listening to our creator. So basically its talking and listening. It is actually advisable to listen more and to talk, so meditate more after your praying time.

Prayer is not useless for as long as one believe in GOD, the reason why we pray because we all need help, we need somebody whose powerful, all knowing and all sufficient God to assist us,to guide us, and to usher us into doing good and becoming the good person that we always want to be..our thoughts and prayer would only be useless if without faith.. In this world full of wickedness and corruption we all need God to save us and assure us of our salvation.
Thoughts and prayer are esential in our life wether we accept it or not when we are in danger the first thing that comes in our thought is to pray.. To ask for help especially when it is beyond our capacity to save..our prayer may not be answered the way we expect to, but that doesn't mean He has no ability to save us nor response to our request.
When we pray, body, soul, spirit become calm and walk in a harmony, our result we get balance of body which is very useful for health. after praying, we will usually feel peaceful, calm, and happy.

Prayers can not be completely useless, they help a person program themselves for success and for achieving great heights, sometimes it helps to recover. Of course, one does not have to rely on one prayer, but it's worth trying.

For me, it gives us courage and determination when we feel that we are alone, when we think that there is no one we can depend on.
Its a belief that we are useful. Prayers leads us to a better way. Instead of overthinking, when we say a prayer, we are starting to forget the bad things that are happening and it gives us an assurance that everything will turn out to be good.

Thought and Prayers are not useless (the cats), why would you keep them if they are useless in the first place? Like the real thought and prayers, lots of people are hanging on to this things because it can make them feel better or keep on hoping for something to happen. The only negative thing about thought and prayer is if you don't do anything about your thought and prayer.
When you are expecting that your prayers will come true then you will be disappointed some of prayers are already came that you need to be thankful i don't know why other always saying that prayers are useless its useful because there are many things that happens to our lives that we need to thank like we always woke up everyday

My parents told me that if I pray to the god, I will get whatever I wish for. But when I grew up, I realized the futility of wasting our valuable time on prayers.
Nothing is completely useless; but it's true, there is no divine hand to twist to your will, and children should never be taught that in any case, by nobody, least by their parents... but speaking of thoughts, I marvel at thoughts and imagination because I believe that is where magic happens. Look around at absolutely anything (except nature) big or small, and you will witness all that is - a lot of man made stuff - and every single one of those things started out as a thought!

I think thoughts will be useless if they will remain thoughts! We need to act upon these thoughts for them to materialize. They won't come out magically from our thought bubbles. And even if we work and act on these thoughts, nothing would be instantaneous. Same for prayers, I believe they work. It's a matter of the subject and object of your prayers. I am speaking based on my personal experience and belief, but hey, I understand it really is hard for some also because of their experiences.
As for the cats, they are pretty much stuborn and independent.. I am not into pets in general, but my cousin used to have cats. While some just worn the furnitures off, some actually caught mice! Others, merely a recepient of my cousin's care, others a furball for cuddles.
