sonysasankan,

I see your point, but...

you wouldn't say "320 Credit" as it would then garner the plural form of the word, hence "320 Credits." Much the same as BitCoin is the singular form, until you have multiple, whereas they become "BitCoins."

An American Dollar is much the same, where it only becomes the plural form when you have more than one. "I have 1 dollar." versus "I have four hundred dollars."

STT,

Thanks for the insight and constructive criticism!

What I mean is that just because something is named "credits" does not mean that the one who uses it will feel compelled in any way to say "1 credits". They will simply call it "1 credit" intuitively.

Credit would contrary to the idea of a system not based off debt which most fiat currency is.     Many new coins try to raise debt from the very start so maybe you want to try but I think pre mine and ipo and all that junk is a rip off much like QE debt and so on will invariably conclude

Alrite, so I'm certainly new to this and I freely admit this.

I've done a bit of research, but wanted to open it up for discussion with those who are much more involved and highly more intelligent on the subject than I am.

Would anyone be interested in chiming in on the idea of a currency called "Credit" as in, the most widely used name for currency in almost every future based science fiction ever written?

Not "Credits"(which exists) or "CreditCoin", just "Credit." With a symbol of CRD? I bought a domain, just for the thought of messing around with it as well.

Anyways, just a thought that I wanted to throw out there to see what anyone thought of it. It seemed to be that a few currencies popped up with the name "Credits", which I don't particularly like as it's the plural form of the word. For instance, "That'll be 1 Credits" doesn't sound right to me. Wink

I would certainly sacrifice a bit of coin for a developer to help take a stab at it. I need more people to be interested in it and help with the finer points of the currencies creation.

Just because there already is a "credits" and you bring out a "credit" is not going to amount to anything. As for the "1 credits", the reverse would apply as well... imagine saying 320 credit. People will add an "s" intuitively whether the original had it or not. So unless you are bringing something new to the table, it will always be termed as a shitcoin, and "credit" will be a shitcoin with a different spelling... and there's already 300+ of them already.
