Anyone know how reputable are these guys?

ASICs are notorious for being constantly delayed because the cost of making a mistake is extremely high. As for which people will benefit, it's gonna be neither or both, BFL and its customers.

If they don't get the chips by Jan 9, then they still will take at least 2 weeks or so to assemble, and then another week to ship. So I reckon the earliest people will see them is start of February, and that's if there's no more delays - which i doubt. More likely it will be mid February or March.

Well, BFL pushed back their dates again. They now say that they will not have them until after the holidays, more specifically by January 9th.

I was wondering what some people's thoughts were on when these chips will be released, who is going to release them first, and which people you think will benefit the most. Do you still believe that BFL will be able to ship their chips first? Will BFL's chips quickly be shadowed by another company? Any other thoughts you might have on the subject?

I have preordered an ASIC from BFL and was curious what some of you thought. I am also new to the forums.

Thanks!
