Was just wondering people's thoughts about the current news on bitcoin donations to colleges? Should they be more grateful or are their inability to deal with them valid?
There might be some bureaucratic issued with accepting such gifts, but I don't think anyone has too many donations, so of course they have to be more open to it and ready to do something to accept it. The article I douns of Bloomberg was written recently, but actually referred to some period a long time ago, since 14.5 btc cost $10k. I am sure universities are more familiar with new technologies now and wouldn't need a crash course from the donator to accept a donation. It's good if cryptos become used more for totally positive things like investments in science, in education, rather than only in business.

This contributions should be appreciated. Whether it is in FIAT or Cryptocurrency, it doesn't matter. A donation is a donation, lets leave it at that.

Why should there be any kind confusion regarding the appreciation of a donation? Ofcourse they should be grateful with the donation regardless of fiat currency or cryptocurrency.

I really think the expanding vast education needs to enhance and by adding up funds such as Bitcoin can really help them attain some enhancement they will need, And I really think this event should be brought up in the news so others would be very knowledgeable that this kind of thing happened and it would well be known in the history and not consider as a fiasco And its about time for the blockchain technology to have a space in the books of schools and be taught to students.

There is nothing wrong about it. Bitcoin donation is great so that those who can't afford to study will get the chance to become a scholar of a certain Universoty. I just hope that the donations will be given to the desrving people and will not go the pocket of corrupt university officials.

Many countries haven't accepted Bitcoin as legal. At this circumstance,I don't think this would be a good idea of Bitcoin donations to colleges. And they're unable to deal with this Bitcoin valid.

As Bitcoins become more popular people are more interested in using it for numerous purposes. One of them can be to be used as donations. The thing we'll have to see is, if the organization you're donating bitcoin to are accepting of it as donation or not as not everyone is open minded about the potential of crypto. With time we can hope to see more organizations becoming more accepting of cryptocurrency as payment or not is still to be seen.

It created a bit of confusion over at the school. I mean they even had to change their policy to allow the donation. As far as I know a few more university and school has accepted their first crypto donation.
