After my experience with their customer service today I shouldnt be surprised how dodgy the customers are! They ekpt resonding in the most bizarre fashion..I dont think they read a word of my replies. Found one called quicksales that doesnt charge like ebay...Ebay makes me shudder a bit....

I've never used gumtree but I've heard nothing but 100% bad things from it. Ebay is only 80% bad things Wink

I am sorry if the original post looks like I am fishing. Im not and Id rather not answeer because I really dont want to get kicked off a forum for selling things my first day..getting kicked off Gumtree sucked enough.

Apparently I can put it in my signature when Im cleared though, and I definitely will (seems everyone else does)

This man from Gumtree is still emailing me.. some people got no lives  Huh

Ahh that wasn't my intention don't worry Smiley
I've only just got in the game myself.

Some people exist solely to troll, and the amount of them increases almost like coins mined.....

personally I'd setup an opensource OScommerce (or similar) website. then back sell through ebay butn still have your own storefront. You could also look at doing similar with amazon (not that ANYONE should do business them)

Just out of curiosity - what were you selling them at?

I guess that's one way of driving out the competition lol.

Ebay - man - so bad. First they hit you with ebay fees, then they hit you with paypal fees, and at the end of the day - they are the same company - should be illegal.

You might be right. I buy off Gumtree all the time (locally) and never had problems but obviously my limited experience is not market research Smiley Have to see if I can remember my old ebay password lol

I'd stay away from Gumtree - stick to eBay and stomach the fees Smiley

The problem is not BitCoin - It's Gumtree - it's like the eBay underworld. Full of scams and such

Hi,

I just started on-selling USBMiners and thought I would list a couple on Gumtree... what a nightmare!! I had a man accuse me of scamming (apparently he cant mke them that cheap??) and them I get my ads deleted and have to PROVE I spoke to the manufacturer and they are a real product.

Have I stepped into something really cutthroat or something?? Hes telling me hes from some internet security tracking mob and now threatening to "track and trace" me.. Is there a dark scary underworld to selling Bitcoin Miners or am I just delightfully lucky to have stumbled across this creep?
