Now a days TikTok is very popular in young generation.  So I think TikTok can definitely be a new social media for promoting cryptocurrencies.

Recently YOUengine project add a Turbo bounty for follow and likes their videos on TikTok.

I think modern social networks can be used for different purposes, advertising is the main of them! As I know popular celebrities and bloggers earn good money via popular networks. If you also have your own page and you want to become more popular, I can recommend to try to buy TikTok followers, it is quite fast and affordable decision!

Exactly, but in my opinion, TikTok is a great way to spread awareness about anything. Regarding the cryptocurrencies, you're right. More and more young people are interested in trading or investing in crypto, and TikTok is on top right now, so I find it the best way to make them interested. There are people that have millions of followers and if they recommend something it's more likely that their fans will want to get that. I know many of them buy tiktok fans, but this only grows their audience and makes the product/service placement even more efficient. I've had my eye on Dogecoin for a while, but no serious steps so far. However, I think I need to take the plunge and try my luck.

personally I am not a user but why not?
Tiktok has many users nowadays and I guess using this platform we can translate CRYPTOcurrencies by sharing informative yet enjoyable entries.

I'm not into Tik Tok I'm not good in dancing in front of the camera I still prefer Youtube when it comes to video sharing I don't know if Tik Tok will still popular in two years time I consider this video sharing a fad and people will soon get over it just like Snap Chat.

Sure, in this case, anyone can upload a video about cryptocurrency but how to make the public interesting to watch it?.

User TikTok must be an innovative person, to create a video to be popular they have the trick to be going an upfront face on TikTok application. not just explaining about cryptocurrency either.

Currently, Tiktok is ban in our country as it became known the app was stealing user data so the app has been ban for national security. Though I have heard the news and watched the viral video on youtube about the dogecoin. The people on tiktok claiming the coin will go to 1$+ soon. So there was a sudden spike on the dogecoin price but the value decreased again.
you cannot come to any conclusion by judging such a small incident. But yes it can be used.

Asides the spy aspect of the app, China is said to ban a lot of app from America as well, so it looks more like an economic war but seriously why should every app, phone etc has to be a spy from China. They should respect the confidentiality of other countries, if they dont have ulterior motive for the gathering of those information why are they desperate to acquire them. we are still struggling with the virus they wake yet they are getting into other venture.

I think that TikTok has nothing with crypto-currencies, people are the ones who use social networks to share their interests, and
we can see crypto-currency enthusiasts everywhere. More people in crypto-currencies, more about them we will see everywhere we
go on the internet. It's a good thing for all of us, it's advertising in some way and that will attract more people.
If you have read carefully, OP wasn't associating TikTok with cryptocurrencies but just explained that the last hype for Dogecoin was made of TikTok famous celebrities. It's another social media where crypto enthusiasts send message to the world.

And as for Dogecoin it was a perfect and effective hit. But there's the bad news that has been revolving for TikTok, huge countries have started to ban it.

I read the topic carefully, but the headline is referring about TikTok like it's some new platform for promoting crypto-currencies.
But they are something different, as I said just some random people sharing their interest about crypto-currencies.
Sadly I read about banning TikTok in US, and some other countries. I am not sure that I understand what is the background of this,
why they are banning it? Do you have any clues?
Yup, I have clues why US and India is banning it. Let's go first with US, you know that China and US is in trade war and this pandemic added tension to it. The covid-19 originated in Wuhan, China and that's why this made US to pressure more China.

TikTok is like any other social media platform that gathers data of their users. IMHO, there's more to it and US don't want such app to gather the data of their citizens. As they say, it looks like a threat in data privacy of each US citizen as a TikTok user.

And that's the same reason is as India's.

Just so you know, TikTok is owned by Bytedance, a chinese company.

I think any platform that has a solid community is a good place to promote cryptocurrency this is a very good way of educating people and feeding them the right information that are needed for them not to get victimize by scammers, because all of the social media platform are also used by this people by taking advantage everyone who has their interest in cryptocurrency.

No, people don't understand primitive stuff. Since this is a Chinese social network, there is no question of any cryptocurrencies.
although indeed it is more well-known in a country, now it has penetrated other countries and is very much in demand by many communities. Of course, social media that are in demand by many people tend to be able to work together to be included by all forms of information that need to be reported. Obviously, of course, crypto hopes that it is very supportive of smooth operation and it is also possible to use the media to provide information.

well its not only crypto but you can also promote anything that you love . they cannot say that promoting something is against thier rule because they themselve do also promote different brands and they are doing that for the money but tiktok is a kind of social media only , and we use it for this purpose to have fun and not for promotional purposes . there are platforms dedicated for that matter and we can expect better results with them than on tiktok

Any platforms can be used as a medium on cryptocurrencies promotion and everyone does have its own right to make use of it but this time its no surprise that it had been used to hype up dogecoin.

I just feel sorry to those people who get hyped and purchase dogecoin yet they make their hopes up due to that current claims on getting $1 which is totally an impossible thing to be attained by dogecoin.

For just people who do have the knowledge then seeing the total supply alone of Doge will really give out the answer and people who do knows on how crypto market works in talks  of

hypes and fuds then he wont really be easily get dragged on the hype or shilling.

yeah i think almost all young kids play this tiktok because according to him it is a prestigious application i think if making something viral it is very suitable because now there are many even tv channels already showing some silly and even funny videos on tiktok it's very good to make things viral may only require a little effort to achieve

So much lols to read this but I guess you and many others are the perfect example of how crypto actually works outside of Bitcoin and a few major altcoins. If crypto really is just about going viral, then well, I guess there's no point in awareness and education for actual use case, actual value, etc. Go tiktok, my friends.

TikTok is a small app for making Video's but it is not tool for promoting cryptocurrency, you are right, as of now, Twitter and telegram are the best choice for promoting the cryptocurrency. Doge coin created some Hype through the Tiktok but it is not the tool to increase the coin price.

In fact, the ticktok video related to the viral Doge can move a lot of people to invest, so it makes a Doge pump. That is, TikTok "can" be an alternative media for the promotion of cryptocurrency. In today's life, social media is one of the needs to show existence, many use it for a specific purpose, as long as we use it wisely, there must be a good opportunity there.
In my area, TikTok was initially considered negative because it produced a lot of useless content, but over time there were many changes and the direction became more positive. Do not rule out the possibility, this new trend will be increasingly popular, soon there will definitely be a bounty campaign using Tiktok Cheesy maybe.

It would be interesting if Tiktok will actaully release a token of thier own. That would make it more relevant in crypto platform for promotion. Its not going ot be the first as far as I know reddit seem to have plans to release thier own token too.

Twitter, Facebook, TikTok,... every one of them is a social media platform. If we see an influencer with a lot of followers mention about a crypto and cause a sensation on Twitter then it is the same for TikTok. Better, TikTok's demographic is more easily to be influenced when it comes to crypto since they are young, lack of knowledge,... So yes, TikTok is a great social media to shill your fav crypto.

Just about anywhere we can shill our fav token. There had been threads everywhere in the forum just for shilling but this will gives you the idea which token gets good support from the community.

Looks like TikTok is not the right social media to promote cryptocurrency and maybe the Doge coin trend in TikTok is only temporary. That was done just for fun and to follow the existing trends, Twitter and telegram are still a suitable place for that.

its indeed temporary and see in CMC its already dumping so hard I doubt it's gonna retain the normal price again anytime soon or is it the current price that's considered normal? . at first most of us already know that its just a joke and not gonna pump doge forever thats why people shouldnt exaggerate tiktok just because a challange.

Tiktok is just a social media for people and just like twitter or facebook or youtube, tiktok became another social media where you can share your thoughts and if you want to share stuff about crypto that means you can do that as well.

Obviously it isn't as big as the other ones just yet and considering it is more about youth these days that means they are not going to make it as legit as the other social media, like twitter is actually quite mature compared to tiktok and there is a lot of political stuff going on there as well, but that doesn't mean that we should ignore tiktok at all. Look at what they did to doge for example, that was just one example and I do not think they will do it constantly but at least we saw how powerful some kids joking around could become.

I would just suggest to newbies to not get impressed with such lame marketing strategies and do not get trapped chasing these little pumps as a result of these gimmicks. When i was new i used to follow such things and always got loss or atleast got trapped for quite a while so always look for solid investment opportunities and the projects with real business and success.

We suggest members in here, but how about the other users out there? It is hard to warn them about that, and I think we can only spread the news on the different social media. Or maybe there are one or more TikTok users who know about cryptocurrency and have knowledge about crypto, so he can explain how to invest in cryptocurrency with the right. With that way, I think the other TikTok users will not trust the fake news that is trying to trick them, and that can be a way for cryptocurrency to be popular among the other TikTok users.

There are a lot of bad rumors about TikTok, some big companies have stated that TikTok is unsafe and it can steal users' information. But I agree that Tiktok will be a great place to promote crypto because they have so many users

The rate at which tiktok is going viral is quite alarming. Many users, most especially in the crypto pace are drifting towards it despite the challenges faced. Although, I am yet to explore it, but I a believing that very soon, it will become what almost everyone cannot do without, just like it's happening to Youtube today.

TikTok is just a video social network for short videos like vine but the best thing is they have this accurate AI integration that shapes your feed according to the content you like to spend your time on. They are quite popular among youths. And just like any other social media, they have privacy concerns and are targeted a bit more as it's parent company is from China.

Does Accurate AI integration mean like the next video you watch just right now will be related to the next video that's coming to flash on your screen?  Somehow it sound like its a good platform to make promotion.

There is nothing wrong if its parent company is from China as long as if can be used to market fellow users who are also interested to what is promoted. Facebook has privacy issue too. It would only matter to someone's personal choice.

well some countries have indeed blocked this tick tok application, like in the country of India which has already done that and now I hear that the american country has started blocking the tik tok application which means there are already several countries that prohibit the use of tick tok and possibly suspected spyware can come true.
I fully support what India reacts with the TikTok application and high potential threats for their national security and sovereignty.

Nevertheless, it comes from the side of governments and sometimes such reacts are too late or seriously impacted or biased by politics. Therefore, people should react by themselves first. Being careful with any applications they want to install on their devices. Even such apps are for entertainments, they should be careful as much as possible. The more careless they are, the higher risks they will take by installing more applications on their devices.

This brings more harm than good. The majority of TikTok users have no clue about cryptos and will push everything that they get told to do. That leaves them vulnerable to becoming the victims of pump-and-dump schemes. Lets trigger some TikTokers to push a random shitcoin to the moon, old school hodlers of that coin can make a last profit and the newbies get left behind with worthless crapcoins. What happens in communities next? Usually the big complaining starts, putting Bitcoin and co in a bad light, damaging the reputation.

No different from all other hype sources then I'd say? I mean, what happens if you go google Bitcoin now? You go to Bitcoin.com or some other media outlet and then you get shilled all kinds of projects.

OR get asked to buy from exchanges.

Thousands of new users who get into bitcoin every day are clueless about crypto. You can't blame the media. You just blame the people and the motivations.

Too many countries banning TikTok has made the app itself a joke, where the reasons given by most of the people included, but not limited to the fact that this software fetches your personal data and transfers it to the company which is against the privacy policy. Another thing is that, all I've seen over TikTok is shit and nothing (I'm never a fan of this but my wife used to make me watch all that shit :/ ).
So, when you've got nothing so interesting to watch in those 25 sec vids rather than just few people lip-syncing a song and some shit comments, it's better to utilize your time watching something else that's worth your time.
This app is solely used by those who are skilled in entertaining others, it is not design for promotion but many uses it now it such way, that makes it irritating sometimes since it will appear sometimes even you don't want to see it. Now, if crypto been also use here, there will only be few if they will attract someone since it seems not a serious platform to relate with users money. Those serious investor will not be amaze or attracted if they will only see it in tiktok.

It would be nice if all Crypto-YouTubers, especially those who are making viral crypto videos, songs create a TikTok profile and make it viral here. Because this would help spread a word about cryptocurrencies to people who didn´t hear about cryptocurrencies never before.
Wow, that's a very nice view, I didn't think like this. I just think this is just hype and still it. But so many people could be interested in this Dogecoin or other altcoins. This Tik Tok user why didn't choose any other coins? New users will not be unhappy with this new world.
I am also quite confused as to why they chose dogecoin over other coins. I had a chance to sell some dogecoin when it went up and it made me very happy because I got a pretty decent profit from yesterday's dogecoin increase.

It caused by that kid who was creating a video about doge was holding doge and he tried to hype the doge coin to sell his stash in the market. This is only a pump and dump scheme that some parties may involved in this case,

The first cryptocurrency I see promoted on tiktok was Bitcoin last May 2020, promoted by Layah Heilpern https://twitter.com/LayahHeilpern/status/1257728295686344706, It is really a good platform for promoting cryptocurrency, because tiktok is trending now around the world and there are so many users. Some individuals are using the opportunity to promote crypto. The recent dogecoin news I guess was just overhyped.

Education is the key, that´s why  they put money in a joke coin and don´t even know they were doing. So, I agree. Those people who are already have a voice that can be heard by many are the ones that need to transport the message that cryptos are good, but there are foul players trying to dump their shitcoins on them

I don't actually use the TikTok app or platform nor know much about it but what I can deduce from the whole thing is that, TikoTok helped to promote Dogecoin to its users and as such the users likely decided to know more about the coin which lead to its increase in price. Also, I think this promoting of Dogecoin might not be for long when taking into account that most countries are yet to adopt crypto. But nevertheless, am glad about the whole thing even though I didn't participate because crypto has yet again been promoted which will likely leave a burning desire in the minds of people thus making them to know more most especially when knowing they are young people and young people tends to be inquisitive.

Tiktok is mostly used for entertainment but who knows, managers already tried using some social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Some bounties even includes LinkedIn which is a platform to look for jobs and Reddit which is the so called frontpage of the Internet. If TikTok can reach more audience then it is possible for it to be used and that would be useful for campaigns.
It is very likely if many Crypto project developers later use tiktok to promote their projects then will be a Tiktok Bounty campaign in this forum. Yesterday's Pump Doge was only temporary and now the Doge price began to fall again.

Every social media could be used to promote crypto currency it just happens that TikTok is trendy this days,
We have experience it before in Facebook and twitter but it didn't gain too much attention since most of the crypto that is being promoted in those social media are already active.
I think we could all agree that facebook and twitter was the first social media tha has been used to promote crypto currency and was the reason why there are so many people in crypto right now.

There are very interesting if promote cryptocurrencies using TikTok.
Inside TikTok contains only a few short video.
And if someone promote their project, i think this need to create part video.
But, now some country are banned TikTok App.
no matter with few countries that banned tik tok app,we still able to promote to another countries which is investors in this market still growing. this application could be best place or media to promote cryptocurrency, day by day tik tok user grwoth rapidly and ofcourse some of them will interesting with crypto market.
True! I think if a country ban Tiktok, it also ban other social media platforms such as Facebook, Telegram, Twitter, etc. It's not a matter because the citizens can still use if they know how to change the proxy (which is pretty easy). We have seen that Dogecoin is doing really good in using Tiktok for promoting their project, it can efficiently bring advantages. I guess we'll see a lot of projects do the same thing in the future.

I agree TikTok platform can be utilized to promote cryptocurrency, as evidenced by what happened with Dogecoin.
Although in the end Dogecoin came back down, it could at least create hype with TikTok. Moreover, the promotion
of cryptocurrency passes the YouTube platform has experienced many obstacles right now, so TikTok is a good choice
for making cryptocurrency viral.

I don't know if you guys heard that TikTok apps is allegedly being used as a camouflaged by Chinese government as a spy tool or apps, and even USA and India have banned it already, so just be careful if you are going to used this.

As far as using it as a promotional tool, of course everyone can do it. But then again it will be used for all the wrong reason and you might find this as no different from one of the most hated and fraudulent practice, a pump and dump trading signal group.

I guess most users don't care about being a spy tool of this app as most of them are millennials who are excited to share their everyday lives to strangers. Most of them wanted to amass huge number of followers without thinking about their privacy. That's the sad truth nowadays. These social media apps are everywhere and they don't care about what they will do to their privacy. They should read the following articles to enlighten themselves about this particular app.

All social media with many users can be a good promotional tool. And TikTok as one of the applications that is quite popular nowadays has proven to be able to make a quite surprising market movement for Doge. In the current era, something that is viral can move the masses effectively, but whether this can last long or not depends on the potential and strength of each market. It could be that this is only a temporary pump, so don't FOMO, don't panic, keep doing the best analysis possible.

I am sure, a new trend will come, there will definitely be a new bounty with the TikTok campaign Cheesy

Hi, have you seen the recent hype around Dogecoin? It was caused probably by ongoing challenges on TikTok. When you think about it, it is really a great way how to make cryptocurrencies viral among young people.

You can read more about this trend here: https://fortune.com/2020/07/09/tiktok-dogecoin-challenge/
The hype has caused dogecoin to embark on it correction. Nothing should be build on hype as cryptocurrency is concerns to me, many projects that achieved popularity will definitely end into the moud. TikTok isn't a good place to make cryptocurrency promotions but a confirmed social media were many performance their, though if anyone of these cryptocurrency platform them on this platform.

Nah, that kind of promotion is not even making the right impact. The youths will now be seeing cryptocurrency as a means to make quick money and rip off the internet. Their main target is to pump dogecoin and make money from it so that they will all get rich.

So, how exactly will that help the market? They are literally pumping and dumping a coin and that’s going to ruin everything. By the time they are done with this nobody will be interested in buying dogecoin after they have dumped it, because everyone will be seeing it as a scam. I will prefer that the market grows slow and steady and reach a level where it’s quite stable.

One little joke, from network where most things are about joking around, and here it is, is a tik tok new social media for promoting crypto? Everything that becomes viral is being connected with crypto, is it good for crypto, will it affect crypto in positive or negative way, bla bla... It's a bit stupid to even discuss it, this is a good example of fomo, how it's start and where it leads, and I only hope that you people didn't buy the top here, experienced crypto people! Wink

Shills group and telegram group that wants to pump their favorite coin need to step up their game like this case. Instead of doing it where everyone could see through your poor attempts, try do it to the mass of youngter, lack of understanding of what it is about aka tiktok in this case.

I can say, I agree with you here. I have the impression that most tiktok users don't know about crypto.
And when they heard it, they just go with the hype without checking the facts about doge.
Because if they did a lil bit of research, what they are aiming for doge is very hard to achieve.
Though doge is commonly used for transfer purposes owed to low tx fee, still the $1 value is not an easy feat.
I hope by now, some of these tiktok users see the reality how crypto works.
But on the other side, it is nice that other alt other than bitcoin is gaining attention from social media.

Many have become viral in the TikTok application because so many users are very fond of the entertainment application even among celebrities, and here Dogecoin tried it and made new hype. I don't know why this could happen even though TikTok users don't really understand cryptocurrency. therefore Dogecoin might try new things to boost first with the best promotion with tiktok.

But I'm not sure this pump will last long.

It's not a platform to promote the crypto currency but I am sure it would have gradually created some hype in the market and rapidly the price got increased, honestly this was not expected by any one but whatever happened is for good Grin

I guess people were loosing their mind cuased by this news. They didn't realize if they have been getting trapped by the pumpers and dumpers. The pumpers already dumped the price of doge coin again and that's crap to see there were some people still said doge will be the next big thing.
They'll eventually look for another coin to pump where they can deceive the people again. Those people that have no experience investing in cryptocurrencies and will push them to invest to their chosen altcoin.
Yes, it's true that the pump for dogecoin looks done and it won't be followed by any hype coming from tiktok again.

Nice to hear that dogecoin is trying to do something with Tiktok. Since TikTok is now a popular social media and has a lot of users, it will be very useful if they can use it in perfect ways.

But I don't believe it will help to mega pump or dump the coin is promoted. Because I assume most of the TikTok user is not familiar with cryptocurrencies (this could be wrong). But it's sure that many people will know about crypto. Thus Tiktok can take a place for crypto promotion as a social media.

It was bit smart actually considering how tiktok have been grabbing attention recently. New platform, lot of new users so whoever did it he is smart. He took the perfect chance to grab attention of newbies in this cryptocurrency and it paid off well. But slowly and gradually they will also realise how the cryptocurrency market works so its just a matter of time. It will be same like Twitter, Facebook promotion at one point.

It is hard to believe that TikTok can cause that mega pump, We all know that there are many groups that organized pump and dump sessions like in the Telegram, One of the hottest topics in the Global business articles was TikTok is in big trouble now, India bans it recently while the US is already said that it might be banned TikTok for a national security concern and it's not impossible that other country will follow too. so my opinion is to leave that TikTok issue alone and focus on our daily struggle in the cryptocurrency industry for the better.

As far as i remember tiktok is just related to fun, entertainment and basically it represents an app class categorized as user centric media or social platform.
It was never considered a platform to promote cryptocurrencies but dogecoin used it and it resulted in considerable pump but personally i do not like such things as we should be looking at organci growth not just pumps and dumps.

Never been a fan of using TikTok despite that there's a way that we could generate money from it like Instagram, etc. Here's what I have assessed so far from those guys who have made that viral DOGE TikTok video.

Maybe they were #HODLing some DOGE during that time and was thinking of an idea to make their video viral on TikTok about buying DOGE. As the price gone up a bit, they sell it for profit. Not a bad idea though, but ain't a fan of that viral video and using TikTok.

I have also heard about this news that some countries are now banning Tiktok and AFAIK, India already made an application that just like Tiktok. Probably, they banned it because there is some spreading information that this app is spyware which I happen to read on Twitter. Actually, I can also say that Tiktok is a good platform if you are going to promote or advertise some products/stuff because it has a lot of users around the world and even in our country this app is totally popular. And, I don't know if using Tiktok will be a good way for promoting cryptocurrencies. Probably, the changes in the price of Doge is a simple/normal dump and pump on the market.

Do you think that investors are sitting on their sofas spending a lot of time watching every single video on Tiktok? I don't think so. And it's the teens that are using the app so do you think they have money for investing? not so sure unless they're from a rich company that spending $1000 is just like buying a candy.
Thus, Tiktok was also reported to be a spyware.

even though that might be true but the challanges like that will only temporarily increase the price, tiktok users are mainly young people and maybe highschooler at that, they are just doing the challanges for fun and then cash their money out when the fun is gone which means massive dump after massive pump. You just should never expect something from tiktok, this platform only good to advertise things other than financial related matter.
I don't see any reasons why it will increase its price since they are only making a challenge which we don't know if it will add any new investors to doge coins.

Others will just wonder what the doge is but you can not tell if they can be  a potential investors or it would add any buyers to that currency after having that challenge. It helps if you have an advertisement that can be seen  on that app instead  of having a challenge .

Tik Tok is a Chinese social media network so little risk to follow the cryptocurrency promotion. Because we know some countries are banned the chinese network because of safety reasons. I think dogecoin is best rapid growth in resent day so many peoples are interested to invest in this coin. But again slowly peoples are sell the Dogecoin so it will drop simultaneously. Since TikTok app has a lot of users, even there are a lot of people who makes bad reviews about it because of its some users sexual and inappropriate posts. So I think it could be an effective way to promote cryptocurrencies, as long you have a lot of followers in your account. But you should expect that there will be some people who will ignore your posts because there only intention is to used this app for entertainment purposes only.
