Nice to see you got the problem resolved their and all sorted and fixed. Now you know in future if you get same problem you can repeat the same steps. If your system starts losing time on it after each restart and no keeping time on it. Get your motherboard Bios battery replaced as this keeps the time and settings on your system for when your system is fully off or no power to it.

Before you even remove it if you are going to do this. Go into your bios settings and note things down if you have made changes to it from the default.

Once removed battery it will wipe settings like clearing cmos bios settings when removing pin and bridging with other. Take the battery down to local PC repair shop and ask them for a new replacement one and then put new one in. First bootup of system might say system settings changed or reverted or something about time and other bits and set the time up and or just set to default settings then use other part above to correct time again and should be good to go again. Generally with battery's will outlast the system or in some cases need changing every now and then. SO if it continues to lose time this is needing its battery replacing on your month-board.

If you could tell us which wallet shows the error is it Bitcoin wallet or It's an altcoin wallet? We'll be able to help if you could tell us that.

Bitcoin Core for sure. Not sure about Multibit (don't use it).

is this with bitcoin core or multibit? which wallet give you that message?

This is computer related go into your time settings and check the time zone on it and also check you have auto update on internet is correct. one of the servers might be not working and it is not updating your time correct. When doing this have your BTC wallet closed and then once you updated your time settings re open BTC wallet should solve this problem for you.

1 check location is set correctly on system
2 check time and also time zone and off set to correct one and location
3 check time and adjust to correct time via internet etc.



Goto your time in bottom right hand side right click on it and then select just time you will get the options like in the image.

4 check your internet setting time too and click on update time.



Click on internet time and then click change settings, you will get the following settings above. Click on update now if it updates you will then see it updated to correct time and is now updating correctly if you get time out or error use the drop down box to select another server and try updating again. If this does not work search on goggle for time zone server and then put into box and update.

If this is not working after and does not fix the problem, then this could be related to other settings in your system that might be conflicting with BTC wallet. Post back and let me know how you get on with this. If dont work drop a response can go though some trouble shooting with you

And the time zone is a good question.

If it happens with more than one wallet then it can't be the wallet's fault.
You didn't answer my question regarding timezone.

my time is correct just happens with a few wallets not all

The only time I've got that was when my time really wasn't correct. It compares your time with the one reported by other nodes.
Is it possible you are on a wrong timezone?

when i have the wallet syncing it says make sure your time and date is correct for the wallet to work properly. any advice on why it says that when the time is correct
