That will open up a can of worms. Most people will start buying BCC like crazy and they will support BCC. Craig Wright will
be filthy rich with the 1 000 000 BTC and 1 000 000 BCC and the Australian government will do back flips, because he has
to pay millions in Capital Gains, when he spends his coins.  Grin .... but we know it's not him, so relax.  Grin
$ 2 681 000 000 USD at the current price.  Grin
I am not sure why Craig Wright should support BCC as nChain and Wright already said that they are not behind it and even if he is the real Satoshi we wont be seeing any movement,i am just waiting to see how things will wrap up,either way i really want to see the initial coins moving and i am sure the real person behind it will move his BCC. Lol, super speculative, but I think it'd be an amazing way to turn the tables.

I definitely expect major Whale wars between the prices of the two coins. As most people know, it doesn't really matter about the technology behind it for most people. Price is perception, if one coin has a higher value than another, it is seen as the "better coin" to most noobs. I'd imagine the whales know this and plan to start a nice round of psyops on all of us minions.

Now for the Tinfoil Hat time, totally speculative, but would be hilarious if it happened:

Imagine if Craig Wright proved he was Satoshi after the fork. What a shit show that would be LOL, I can't think of a better way to make a kagillion dollars than to prove my fork is the true vision of Satoshi himself.

All I can recommend is buying Corn futures, popcorn will be in demand this week/month.

PS - I don't have any "loyalty" to either side, don't take this as support for either side. This is just pure pipe dreams from yours truely, haha.

He tried that in the past and failed miserably!
So this scenario isn't worth to think any more.
That guy is a scammer, fraudster and big hoax! No way he is Satoshi and he can't prove it! HE CAN'T!
Furthermore BCash will no serious contender. However it will be a big lesson for the 2x, NYA guys and therefore their planed hardfork in october, november is not gonna happen.

I already pointed out at the fact that Craig Wright is not satoshi nakamoto precisely because of the hardfork split situation and the coins being on his disposal, if he satoshi nakamoto, and the lack of movement of the coins.

According to Craig Wright he will compete against the current bitcoin, he looks like a very competitive guy that will try to crush his competition, well the most effective way to crush a competing fork is to get your coins and dump them into the competing fork. But guess what, he isn't going to do shit, because he doesn't own the million coins that satoshi had, because he is not satoshi.

There is no point imagining it. He cannot prove he is satoshi, because he is not satoshi. It is very sad seeing an old and respected person behave the way he has. He is an attention seeking whore if you ask me.

In the long run it doesn't matter who Satoshi is and what is actually his vision (big blocks or offchain transactions or whatever). What truly matters is how good a given network is - we have open competition between Bitcoin, its forks and altcoins, and so far Bitcoin Core is winning by providing the best software. So, even if Satoshi supports big blocks, but it will turn out that big blocks can't scale to dozens and hundreds of thousands tps, while other scaling solutions can, it would mean that the latter networks will be worth more.

Satoshi doesn't matter at all. specially at this point. the underlying technology matters. it doesn't matter what newbies think or understand they don't bring in anything to the game and whales can never pump things for eternity otherwise ethereum would have been worth $5000 by now instead of heading towards $100 and below.

and the technology is what ensures businesses and merchants to adopt bitcoin. an unreliable technology which is untested and has a lot of problems will never be adopted. specially when it is created like this, from a war and by a force split. if it was a new cryptocurrency from the grounds up then it was a very different story.
no adoption = no price

with all that said, Craig Wright could have been Satoshi only if he never produced any signature. but he did. he used a fake signature!!! and that proves he is not Satoshi. otherwise the real Satoshi either never gave any signature until the day came or he gave a real signature not a fake one to begin with.

ps: good artwork in this topic Cheesy

True man, I suppose that was the point of SN leaving in the first place. His job was to start the fire, it's now our job to keep the flame alive.

I would hope that the majority of people would see it this way, as that is the point of a truly decentralized system controlled by "the people". I just wonder how far the majority of "noobs" actually look into this thing. Satoshi seems to have become an enigmatic character that people have become fascinated with, impersonating him could be very profitable.

Lol thanks for the comment on the art, I found them funny too.  Grin

He has tried and he has failed miserably at proving he's Satoshi, please don't waste anymore time with this foolish person.

lol i think it's funny that no one really calls him out or cares anymore. That video of him on stage talking about "the future of bitcoin" cracked me up. First question: Why didn't you prove you were Satoshi? Answer: "None of your business, I have financial sovereignty"... 4 questions later "why did you chose the name Satoshi Nakamoto?"... "Oh my stepdad was Japanese and my favorite blah blah shared the last name Nakamoto".

I'm not sure he can make up his mind on what direction he would like to take his narrative personally.

I just think it'd be a hilarious twist to the already amazing story of bitcoin if he proved he was Satoshi after all the shit he's put us through, especially if it was post-fork Smiley

and no I don't think CW is Satoshi.

Only dumb cultists would follow him. If Craig Wright is satoshi, then it just means satoshi lost his mind, or he always had a bad idea about what bitcoin should thrive to become, and has thus been surpassed by better programmers such as Greg Maxwell, Peter Wuille, Bluematt etc, and in general anyone that understands why the big block agenda is a big mistake.

In my mind he had plenty of opportunity to prove himself whether he was the real deal and even came on camera and claimed that he will prove this to the world and failed miserably and so i really do not think he will come back again. If the real Satoshi comes back it will be interesting.

I was just thinking... why don't we track down who Satoshi is by "reverse engineering" the earliest Bitcoin adopters... to find out who the first 100 were, then the first 50, etc?

For example we would ask an early adopter who first told him about Bitcoin. Then we would contact them and ask the same. Eventually we would end up with a list of just a few names of people closest to Satoshi.

At that point it would not be so difficult to discover who he is.

Don't you think that approach has been tried? Satoshi operated solely online with the SN personae. He didn't identify himself to Hal or Gavin or the other early adopters beyond this pseudonym.

Lol i agree, but it would just flow so perfectly with bitcoin at the moment. I remember after Alexander Vinnick got arrested, everyone was suspecting he was from Bitmixer (which he might be involved with that too tbh), but the first thing I thought was hmmm BTC-e went down for maintenance... what are the odds?? Especially knowing that the only names we had for the operators was "Alexander & Aleksy", then it came out that he definitely was involved with BTC-e. Lot's of cool twists (though granted, much different than what we are dealing with here)

I couldn't think of any better twist to "bitcoin: the movie" after all of that. The CW/Satoshi thing is definitely fantasy though, hopefully lol.

That would be quite a twist, but it it fantasy. He has done a lot to show that he is not Satoshi, despite his claims in the past.
