Look for the advisers who have attached themselves to the project as a vote of confidence on the viability of the idea.

Unfortunately this will tell you nothing about the ethics of the management, IUNGO had an impressive group of advisers but that did not prevent the scumbag managers ripping everyone off.

No one can really say that an ICO will gonna be good or not but you can base it on how people patronize or support it specially from the beginning until it was successfully released and also how the team who builds this ICO work to make it possible. There should be also update from the team and management on how's the ICO's going so that people will see what is the progress of the ICO. Transparency is also good so that people will know how's the ICO doing.

That's exactly the best procedure to criticise a good ICO is transparency because as far as i know some scam ICO are edited whitepaper and etc. The transparency connected to the main link of bounty tread of the project like telegram and social media seem visible not even in a price percentage but the whole characteristics of project are fully detailed.

I will share some tips on choosing a good ICO, the following tips:

1. Look for the most recent ICO, whose followers directly booming.

2. Note the type of project, choose a project that you think is different, and can be useful for many people.

And Remember!, any type of project if there is no promotion certainly the project will not succeed, therefore you as a bounty participant do not just work in formality only, you should really think for the promotion of projects that you share in social media work effectively, so you must make surethat every post about the project, the post should really be seen by your people/followers in social media.
For me it’s important that the team should be trustworthy and should hold good research conducting capabilities. Making sure their supplys are good

I think, that it's not the best tips, you don't say anything about teams of projects, about roadmaps. We can't predict, will be project good if it is usefull for people, a lot of usefull projects are scam

Thankyou for these time
I think that we should first research and find which ICO is the best at the moment. For that we need to vist different sites, read paper and check list in market than supply. And yeah your right promotion is a very important aspect.

As for me, the most important factors are:
1. team - it should be really trustworthy, thus always google and look their linkedin profiles, background and etc.
2. product -it's better to have at least mvp to show
3. whitepaper - it should included a thorough research, business model, token usage and etc.

Most of ICOs either don't have a strong project or a good team. So you need to be careful while investing in ICO. There is no regulatory body who can control ICOs so it's your duty to analyze and research an ICO properly before investing in it. You need to check various things while investing in ICO such as whether a working product is there or not. Before investing in any ICO, I look for many points. I check these thing before investing in ICO - a working product or prototype must be there,  project should have strong team, website should have all the details, whitepaper and roadmap should be clear. I also believe that ICO should have good rating on different ICO rating websites. After checking all these points, I invest a small amount in ICO. Be careful before investing in ICO.
True, many projects don’t have potential aim or utility and those who have, don’t have good team to look after its development. There we no regulatory bodies before, but now governments all over the countries are taking strict actions against the launch of ICO’s and are regulating it to save investors from losing their hard earned money in scam projects.

The ICO’s that will now be launched must first be registered under government before doing so. This will ensure public protection against frauds and scams.

Also, it is duty of every individual to do research and analysis about any project/ICO he is about to invest in because background check is always helpful to avoid investing in ponzi schemes.

in my opinion, here are the tips:
read whitepaper and the team,
visit the website
check the target sale (soft cap and hard cap), if the ICO is ongoing, check whether it reaches the saft cap or hard cap.
check the supply
check the coin whether it has been listed on market cap

The first thing that I will do is to check if its listed on the website below.

https://www.coinschedule.com/?live_view=1

I know the list are the one who paid on the website but if they made it on the list, that is how confident they are on their product. The second was to check the ICO ratings and check  comments from other ICO participants. I also check if the people behind are legit. You can their linked in account. The last and most important thing, check the white paper and road map. It its unrealistic, try to ask yourself if its the right ICO for you.

Whitepaper doesn’t say everything about the project. Sometimes the whitepapers of new scam ICO’s or projects are made to look so legit, that it is hard for even an experienced trader to differentiate whether it is a scam project or not. Therefore, reading of whitepaper is just a part of research and doesn’t really prove that the project is legit and not a scam. Other things you should do is check its team background and follow the project as well as its team members on twitter and join their telegram group, so that you can get updates if they are doing something to develop their product or not and how far are they willing to take the project.

There are very few ICO’s nowadays in the market that are good and legit. Many ICO’s are just scams and ponzi schemes and don’t really have any real application or utility. Promotions is very necessary for development of a coin, but there are also other important factors such as technology, partnerships, roadmaps, utility, etc.

For finding a good ICO, one must do research about the projects, check the team background, check if they are being transparent or staying anonymous and whether they are following the roadmap or not. Also reading the whitepaper of the projects you plan to invest in is must.

choosing the right icos is quite hard to find. i prefer that you will go to ICO Bench. ico bench helps you to find good icos there such a rating experts there better check it out.
True, finding good ICO’s nowadays is quite hard thing to do. Even scam ICO’s appear as legit now cause they have perfected everything to trick investors into pouring money into their project. Finding good ICO is like finding a needle in the bunch of haystacks. Every day new ICO are launched and thousands of people invest in them, but there are very few that success and prove worthy for investment, the rest either dump or close their site and run away with investor’s money. Though the site you suggested called ICO bench sounds interesting. will surely go and check it out.

No doubt if you choose a good ICO always analyze all the possible arguments that leave you eager to invest, deeply understand your concept, evaluate the white paper check the veracity of the information provided there, research as much as possible about the project team, and most importantly do not risk everything you have despite ICO being a means of fundraising it can contain many pitfalls.

If they use a picture of Ryan Gosling with a different name and they say he's working on the project, it's a scam.  Grin flawless advice.

Due diligence isn't always that easy though. Find out who is running the ICO, get to know everything you can about them and ask as many questions as possible. Usually you'll find that answers will be answered quickly during an ICO then afterwards there's radio silence. They alw

one of the most important thing to choose the ICO is the product of the project. is it really good so the investors can invest their money in ICO. there is no good ICO if the product is unknown or not good

I also choose what the product of the ICO that they can produce, if that product can help to our community before i invest in their project, i also check in ICO Bench if their project have a potential growth. Moreover, i research the team if they enough to handle their project, i read also the whitepaper to get more information for their project and also the roadmap to success.

For me the best ICOs are FACETER and AITHEON .The hottest ICOs for me this year .REad more about them .
What are your options for analyzing and selecting good ICOs? In my opinion, we should analyze the roadmap and whitepaper, look at the team tokens release level, if they have a lot of experience, sure the project they will succeed. Watching their communication channels, if there are a large number of visitors, perhaps the ICO project will be feasible. That is my personal opinion.

1. Check out the project's team (their experience, past and involvement in other projects)
2. Carefully read the whitepaper (the project is good, if they explain physics in a very simple way, if you know what i mean Grin)
3. Token terms and fair prices
4. If the idea is not obsolete for the current market

Check this ICO, for example: https://goo.gl/RddguE

Bounties are a waste of money if you have the manpower to do promotion yourself.  Moreover, why would pay someone a bounty of they don't have the same conviction in your project as you do?  Seems like waste of time and money?  I rather not pay bounties and burn any unused tokens to show the people who participate in our ICO that we're in this together.

I would also add the a working product with users makes a good ICO.

The Team is important.  Not so much Advisors because as we have all seen some Advisors are advisors in name only or just fake.

I think our ICO https://rao.radioyo.fm is a good one, subjective point of view of course, and I'm fully aware of what we need to improve on but that hasn;t stopped people from believing in our vision or product https://radioyo.fm

Agree but say you've followed these rules and invested in in a bunch of 'cool' ICOs only to find that they are not listed on any exchange. What do you do with such tokens?

It is important to put the company, their technology, and product or service in the context of their target market. They will inevitably be subjected to the market and regulatory pressures of their target industries, so knowing the environment should give you an idea of what challenges and opportunities these ventures face.

An ICO permits both big and small investors to fund the projects they like.
The nonappearance of lawful rules in the activity of these ICOs has brought about in excess of a couple of scams
Now the considerations should be:
1. Team Composition: Find out everything you can about the team, especially the development team and the advisory board.
2. Bitcointalk.org Thread: A good starting point is the project’s announcement (ANN) thread on BitcoinTalk.org, as Bitcointalk is the biggest forum for Bitcoin and crypto related issues
3. Stage of the project and VC investments: Evaluate the stage of the project. Does it only have a whitepaper? A beta version? Is there a launched product with limited functionality?
4. Why Token is needed? Blockchain necessity: an ICO can’t be an ICO without a dedicated token.
5. Token Distribution. : A good project will link its token distribution to the roadmap.

As a case study, this is an example of a solid ICO because they have an actual use case that solves a real-world problem of getting the masses of people into crypto. In addition, they have a solid team with specifically exchange experience which is critical for their arbitrage exchange company they're creating. Finally, they have a comprehensive whitepaper, website, and explainer video.

Hope this helps you guys in dissecting the researching process.

Choose an ICO with a good working product, a credible team/developer, a presentable white paper, a nice roadmap and a trusted handling manager. These are the things I consider most of the time. If you want to make extra sure, go to icobench and look for that ICO name. It should be listed there with nice ratings.

A good ico are those many people want to buy that coin, for example, their presale has been sold out in just an hours? Thats what is good ico. So mate, get some savedroid now before its too late, last day of main sale is today mate

I think it is much harder to choose a good ICO, there are more investing groups or fundations that joining in the presale with more bonus, when you find that, it is a little late. So my advice is doing your own research.

I would say that there are a lot of important factors for choosing a good ICO. You need to understand the use case of the ICO, whether it is a product that will be adopted by users in their industry. You need to understand whether their team is able to carry out what needs to be done as stated in the roadmap. You need to know whether they have a MVP already. And of course their marketing which is reflected by the number of people following their project esp on telegram.

It is not easily to pick a good ICO nowadays. You must spend more time to understand their business and read their whitepaper.

You must go to a coin which is not illegal coin. Q coin that can make us people happy because of high value of price if we are going to invest and sell.

Do a very deep research about the project , study the market of their product , search history of the team and after go check ratings , news , roadmap etc. I'm sure KickCity is a great ICO and this project will do just fine.

Verify the people behind the team
,
Study the product they offered

Check different sites about the project, search the net of possible information remember that choosing ICO is very important to start for bounty campaign.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are on ICO stage right now, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/
Or even better go through their Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/future-of-privacy-ethereum-meta-foundation-of-anonymous-e-marketplace-2659058

Personally I only participate in ICOs that are listed in ICObench,  ICOrating and other big crypto ICO review sites. Never join an ICO that never show their selves in public.  Never join an ICO that has no business model that backup its crypto.

WHith so many different ICO s indeed it is hard to pick the right one

Try to pick an ICO that is actually creating something especially if it is relatively "unpopulated" sphere with little or no competition no competiton almost not possible) that will give this company a head start over others.  Also if it is a utility token what will the benefits for early backers/investors maybe a buyback program, maybe a percentage of the coins will get burned, etc ...
Definitely Kepler is worth having a look at . Robotics are going to be the future

Overall, I agree with your opinion, especially number 2. Most investors choose a project with a type that is useful to many people, so that the project will be needed by the community, such projects are usually that have potential in the future.

Strange advice but may be can help) Try to avoid real-world ICOs. Usually, they didn't succeed in a short period of time. Different factories, plant, working business. This must be something new with IT structure, good devs snd PR team.

Good tips but I only have thing against with what you said. Not all the ICO's that does have promotion are successful in the end and there are projects that are successful even without advertisement and promotion. You have to take note of that. The content itself and usefulness of that coin is what's the most important.

Team and idea! First of all investigate team and ensure that this pesons not ready to participate in scam projects. Second most important thing - it is unique idea, which realistic for execution.
That's right, it's another basis of choosing a good ICO. They have to be legit and real so investors are calm on the project they are investing with. And talking about team and project, have you heard about VLB?

When you join a ICO first you need to study and have a look at the project whitepaper, roadmap, ERC20 token approval, project future planing, it's root or platform etc, check the comunity the design and the team
Then you will accept this project ICO or not.

1. Look for the most recent ICO, whose followers directly booming.

You are just basically seeing thru projects which being hyped up which i dont see any importance when it comes for longer runs.
but somehow this can give you some positive outcome if you would able to get out early.

2. Note the type of project, choose a project that you think is different, and can be useful for many people.

This thing should be on main concern,if you able to see project that it is unique which cant be seen into other project then it would really be worth to invest and hold it for long terms.

A good ICO is certainly awaited by everyone. Given that, because it has an impact on investors and participants bounty if ICO they follow the good and success in the future. A good ICO can be viewed from the project. The example of the project development in the future. You can see from the roadmap. So you can conclude a good ICO.

I personally believe that the most important thing in the project is its community. If it is active and growing rapidly, it is an indicator of a good project. This means that the project was able to interest people and is really worth your time. IMHO

To choose a good ICO project you should carefully analyze the elements of the project. Analysis of the management team, whitepaper, roadmap ... etc, or you can follow the ICO project of the Hero Member, full member on the Bitcointalk forum. These members are experienced analysts, so the projects they are following are the most potential.

In addition you have to read carefully the project's whitepaper, and check their roadmaps, and also visiting their site and seeing its design and security. The scam projects dont spend a lot of money to secure their sites or for the design. Also the team is very important, if they aren't experienced the project is not going to success likely.
Agree, all these aspects are very important, and I think that first you need to look at the documentation just and check the team.

Agree with you. ICOs are risky so best to be cautious. However, we're a bit skeptical about the rating sites. Most of them are paid services.

Look for an ICO who has a credible DEV team, good vision and long-term goal, a working product, good marketing strategy. Usually this characteristics help an ICO to get a good number of community members and supporters. Active development of project after the ICO also helps the project get more investors and good market demand.
I agree with your suggestion. I also suggest it so. ICO is seen from the project team and good cooperation for ICO to succeed. You can also see from Telegram the project. If they are active in social media means they are really serious about ICO. Good Karen ICO is certainly seen from all aspects of the project.

one of the most important thing to choose the ICO is the product of the project. is it really good so the investors can invest their money in ICO. there is no good ICO if the product is unknown or not good

A good idea must come first on creating ICO’s however for every investors they should be understand the project itself before investing. There’s no specific way to know what Ico is the best, better to study more and invest if you are convinced with ico.

I don't recommend to attend the ICO, now most of the ICO project at below their issue prices, then attend the ICO is not a good choice, I suggest you can directly in the exchange to buy some tokens below the issue price.

Here are a few:

1. Does their business problem/solution make sense to you?
2. Do the have a team to make it happen?
3. How will they get customers for their solution?
4. Was there a big bonus in private sale?
5. Is blockchain needed in their product?

To choose the best ICO we should do a research for ICO bench if their project is havingg a potential to grow. Then the team the implement if they are all capable enough to handle the project. And last we give time to read the whitepaper because all the information we can get was already in the whitepaper.
