I'm using 2 EVGA 1060 3GB Superclocked model. I'm actually running them in a QEMU VM with smOS as the OS.

I already had them in a server in my home. Since the next question is always "Why a VM instead of bare metal".

I don't know if there is any impact to performance being in a VM, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

I'm running:

Fans @ 80% since they're in a server
Core +155
Mem +900
TDP 120w

The server they're in eats power 24/7 anyway, so I'm going for maximum coin.

I'm using DSTM v0.5.8
Mining ZenCash

I've had zero stability issues and see a constant rate of 659 Sol/s

Code:
GPU0 63C Sol/s: 322.7 Sol/W: 2.74 Avg: 327.9 I/s: 175.7 Sh: 2.04 0.99 130
GPU1 61C Sol/s: 335.4 Sol/W: 2.77 Avg: 331.1 I/s: 177.3 Sh: 2.06 0.99 139
========== Sol/s: 658.0 Sol/W: 2.75 Avg: 659.0 I/s: 353.0 Sh: 4.10 0.99 134

Hope this is helpful.

Hey, finally managed to get MOST of my rigs over on Windows. Still having problem with the Gigabyte SLI on Windows, however I managed to get 10 rigs (11 being worked on now) on Nicehash. Nicehash is temporarily till I find a new pool/coin to mine.

At the moment I am yielding 130-150$ per day on Nicehash with 60 1060s running without any overclock. I began my research on overclocking but I am confused on some things.

1) On a video I have seen a youtuber raise the power MAX whilist I read somewhere else I should drop the power to 60-65. (trying to overclock)
2) I can overclock all 6 at the same time? I have 6x rigs made.
3) I have tried testing with Kombuster but is there anyway I can test my MH?

Thanks and I appreciate the help I get on this forum.

Depends on what you want to mine.

I am doing Neoscrypt on NH with with 6x 1060s. As my electricty is cheap during winter ($0.084 kwh), profit is goal. I have mine set at 88 TDP, +175 core, -200 memory, using hsrminer, doing 760 to 780 KH/s per card.

My 1050 TI's don't do that well with Neoscrypt as the long block time causes it to disconnect or lose the block, so its set to Ethhash on NH, using 75 TDP, -200 core, +800 memory.

My suggestion is to google "1060 afterburner settings XXXXXX" where XXX is the type of coin algorithm you want to mine.

The reason you would have wanted the 1060s would be for the power efficiency rather than the ability to over clock, This is the reason youve seen people lower the power limit to 65 since this will cause the card to draw less watts. My 1060 pulls 60w yet still hashes at a decent rate, Id advise going for efficiency.

You can use something like msi afterburner to over clock each card in the rig of 6. I dont think its possible to over clock them all with one profile over individually.

Best way to test mh is just run whatever coin you want to try.
