Very good idea to search with double quotes. I tried a bit now and it shows more relevant results rather than when I search with a single word or 2 words without any brackets. I put these tips in a text document now for easier access. Really love it.

For me it is easier to use google and end the search with "bitcointalk" I do not think the search function here is very good.

It is absolutely good as long as you know how to search the thing you are looking for as mentioned in OP, though i never tried with double quotes but so far i have been using the search button from homepage to look for the things i have been looking for and it worked fine for me.
And i will give that double quotes a try for sure, thanks for the tip, OP.

Honestly you can not easily see the newly posted thread because it needs few days or before it will index in google.. And some thread are not indexed in google.. so quotation is a good alternative to find the thread what you are looking for..

Yes, really a good tip, when I don't find what I want, I just start a new thread, but it's not a good thing to do always... Next time I will check this method to search for threads. I already tried that before, but without the "", so I din't find anything I was searching for.

Thanks a lot for sharing such information, it would help newbies and even Hero members like me who never knew that this is also a way to search an exact thread. It will be lot more helpful for us as this way, we will directly get to know what do we want to see.

One more tip from me to users: They can search for any username in a thread itself if they want to see a user's posts in an exact thread.

Thanks for taking some time to share a tip here. I do search directly in google to find out my required topics and I am comfortable with that so far. Anyway it is a new thing to search from homepage and with double quotes. Let me try.

Hi guys i would like to share how to search thread here in our forum and use our search button.

I tried to search some thread but honestly i did not find the exact thread that i looking for
Now i do some experiment like in seo we are using this method and works fine in our search button above.

First go to the homepage of bitcointalk them try to search and add quote like this i am looking for bitcointalk escrow..
So if you use bitcointalk escrows the result are many thread that not actually were looking for..
So add a quotation like this " bitcointalk escrows" and now you find what you are looking for just use ""

Every time you are searching.

Another tips to search in our forum did you see a magnifying glass near to search button?
Click it you can find a google search it can help you to find what thread you are looking for.

Since we are still have no advanced search this is good as your alternative to search what thread you are looking for.

Update: additional tip if you want to search only in one board or section like services section or gambling section just go in that board and use the quotation to find the thread you are looking..
I tried to search in different board section but its always different result so i think if you are in other board section and you are looking for a thread make sure you are in right board before you can search it.. if you do not know what is the board section of the thread you are looking just go to homepage and use the double quotation..
