What I do is to make sure all post are carefully edited and corrected before posting them, and if the information is not something I want to look back on in the future I will never revisit them ever so, this may not work for me it's cool anyway to edit old posts but life is a process so why not leave the errors to serve as a reference point to when you learning.
I also had many posts that were corrected by someone else because it's not the right one and it's already quoted by them, so let it be, it was corrected plus they proved it that it was wrong and it means the reader knows that your opinion is wrong.  So I learned these mistakes when I was new in the forum, before you will hit the "post" button, just check it first the "preview" button to check if your post is in the correct grammar and spelling or there's a misspelled.

But here's a tip to make a quality post, never interact with a topic that you don't know, and make sure to be on the topic, not an off-topic reply.  Care about the quality not the quantity of your post just because of your weekly quota.

The thing that matters is your post should’ve Good Quality not Quantity,as most of the people focus on to fill the page without Relevancy.it leaves bad sign at the birth of newbie’s account. To  the point ,exact for the aim of first learn then earn can bring positive results

I think when it comes to post quality, most newbies are under the impression that quantity outweighs quality. But in reality, most of the high-merited replies that I have witnessed consists of only a few lines on their sentences. What matters is that you are contributing something useful or you are replying with a sense of logic that everyone could follow and take as an example.

While giving away merits to a post can be subjective, a quality post will most likely be objective in terms of its contents.

Interesting idea but I really see no reason why I would correct my posts from 7 years ago on this forum.
When I registered on this forum I didn't know anything about btc or crypto and I actually wrote a lot in the off topic, but I see no reason to be ashamed of it now or try to embellish my past  Cheesy
In the meantime, I learned a lot, gained some experience and now I have something to write about in almost all parts of the forum.
I think this is a logical and normal path that many members on this forum have gone through and I see no reason to correct or hide anything after so many years.
And it’s funny to me now when I read some of my posts from 7 years ago but it was all a learning process, as for many other members. No one knows everything from the beginning  Grin

2: make sure you revisit your old posts and comments to see where you made mistakes and correct them by editing the post, this is not against the rules of this forum, and this will help upgrade your reputation on the forum and also help others who will be using such posts as a reference point to get the right content that will suit their questions.
I strongly disagree on this. We have parts of the things that make history. I visited my first page today, I saw quoting mistakes and sub standard questions, I didn't edit any of them. It will surely remind me how I started in the forum. Editing them to make them quality in order to meet up my present knowledge is to me a self-deceit. I should have somewhere to look back at and have some smiles. Editing your old posts could mean despising your little beginning.

I am in agreement with you @kingsDen, i see no reasoning in editing old post that you made during your growth process here on this forum. It is pretentious to me, trying to act as though you started big. Your post history should be able to reflect real growth, and you should be proud of it. IMO the idea of editing old post that you made some time ago goes against that idea. As a newbie, that's why it is essential to invest time even at the beginning stages of your stay in this forum into making good post that you will not plan to come edit later.

I appreciate you because I see you are trying to be a user who cares about the quality of posts. Honestly I'm a shitpost (Trust) but I realize that post quality improvement is expected for everyone including me. There are many people who support the change movement, it was also when bitcoin was first introduced to this day, but not everyone tried to accept the change because they were quite comfortable with the habit.

I no longer expect more qualityless posts from my forum activity, it's really a habit that I should always improve. You as one of the new registered users in 2021 are expected to continue to excel until you reach a higher rank. Your initial proof has occurred where you have successfully progressed through the ranks to Jr. - current full member. I agree with some points, while I'm still not 100% about you.

Number 2 is a really good idea. However, it can also be a tool for introspection, as it's a good indicator how you have evolved in your writing. However, new members need not worry about making their posts the best over all, but just the best they can be corelated to their knowlage of crypto.

This forum does not need to be a mechanical conversation between robots, it needs to flow as a stream of ideas and opinions and sometimes we get things wrong, sometimes it gets heated, sometimes it's just banter.

I didn't edit my previous post just for the sake of correcting my post instead I will look back at it and it help me rethink my past mistakes to avoid it this time. Sometimes I did the same mistakes when I have many things on my mind just like I made mistakes yesterday. It will show you what mistakes you mostly make so I won't agree revisiting old post to correct it but focus on making less mistakes. Just accept your mistakes because that means you are open for complimens and corrections from other people.
Yeah, I think we are in the same situation where I look back at my previous post then suddenly saw an error of the grammar or spelling or something then trying to edit but I just leave it there as a reference to be observant with my post next time. I think consistency is what I/we needed if we saw a mistakes in our previous post then move on and just like what you said focus on making less mistakes next time so that you will be a good quality poster.

Very few people dig deep into someone's post history, especially if they have no good reason to do so, like investigating something. If you're hinting at signature campaigns, managers don't check the first posts made by applicants, they only care about the last few months.

There really is no secret to suddenly turn a shitposter into a great poster, writing good posts comes from practice and experience.

If you make good posts, it is because you want to contribute good idea in a discussion. You don't do this because you want to reserve it for reference in future. In future, your posts can be trashed when a whole topic is trashed. You might not remember where you make your posts too.

In my experience, I don't remember them too but if my posts get merited, it is helpful for me because I can use BPIP website and type some key words to find a post I am looking for in list of merited posts of mine.

If you make helpful topics, you can more easily to refer it in future. Nevertheless, don't make post or topic if you don't have good idea to contribute in the forum. You can simply read and don't must make any topic or post.

This thread is aimed at equipping newbies for the future task ahead of us on the forum, with regards to becoming a quality poster and member of this from both now and the future and to also serve as reference points for future discussion and development of the forum who know one day the forum will upgrade to that level where members post will be bided and sold as NFT.  Grin

Oh no, another one that thinks posts can be sold as NTFs - haven't we said enough about it? Bitcointalk posts as nft

So based on what the OP says for his future reputation, remove the junk you think might hurt you in the future.

Anyone can edit and even delete their posts, but forum members must know that all posts are saved in the original edition by at least 2 services run by forum members. We’ve all had our beginnings on the forum, and there’s nothing to be ashamed of - I was a beginner in 2015, I knew little about Bitcoin, and my English was far worse than it is today - these are facts I can’t change even if I wanted to. In addition, I have too many posts to play with editing Wink

Hey, Op thanks for the other tips it's useful but for me, I don't think about this one.

2: make sure you revisit your old posts and comments to see where you made mistakes and correct them by editing the post, this is not against the rules of this forum, and this will help upgrade your reputation on the forum and also help others who will be using such posts as a reference point to get the right content that will suit their questions.
Yes, it's okay and not against the forum rules and regulations if you visit and edit your post. But if you do that kind of habit and then it's okay for you, but for me, I will not do that cause I don't want to trick myself if my first page or even 5th page of my post history is not just standards or let's say that the Construction of words is not constructive because of grammar, lack of knowledge or whatever the reason is. And then it's okay to me cause in the long run of my journey I know that I can change that posting style and be a good quality poster someday.

#PS. You need to be true in yourself if you did a mistake in the past and then it's okay you can change it in the present/future and accept the truth that nobody's perfect in this community we are all here had a mistake in the past all we need is to upgrade and do not do that again to be successful.

The OP is right in some way. You can do something that will make the forum cleaner. There are a lot of participants on the forum who previously started and participated in the bounty. There are many unnecessary reports in history. Delete them. Remove what you think is an error. Especially since if you don't list your social media contacts and wallets, it will improve your privacy. So based on what the OP says for his future reputation, remove the junk you think might hurt you in the future.

At first I thought this is about some tools to enrich what we post like Grammarly the, I found some tips rather than tools. Wink

Anyway, every day is a new day and we can learn something new if we are interested in learning, all I am going to say is keep reading more than what you post which will make you more knowledgeable then you can give solutions to the people's queries related to cryptocurrencies or anything in general when we are into a discussion.
I wanted to add such writing apps such as Grammarly, but since it does not meet the necessity of quality content because Grammarly work with the content you write it just to correct wrong spelling and phrase usage and not all user write with the help of Grammarly.
Thanks I changed the title of the thread as it more appealing and interesting if the title is Tips,  I appreciate your recommendation.users

To be a quality poster you have to be good at writing and that means you have to have good knowledge to write quality post. Sometimes people have enough knowledge to share, but they are not good at writing and vice versa. When English is not their mother language, some people will find it difficult to find a way how they can convey their knowledge to the public so that posting is considered as something normal.

I suggest they focus more on local forum where they can express their opinion and share their knowledge well in local language. In addition, frequent interaction with experienced members is a good way to improve writing skills where you will get more inspiration to make them more quality.

Anyone visiting the first page of any user here should expect newbie-like posts.
In the real life, that is the essence of the museum.

Could this be possible?
Unless both the member post and bitcointalk forum would be bided simultaneously. Because, you may finish biding and the account gets banned here, of what essence. Though I never can tell what the future has for us.

This reminded me how I did always check reputed members' posts when I was a newbie. Maybe this made my ranking up faster, always what I believe. I always check quality posts at the time. It will be good if newbies can read and learn than posting so their posts can have the quality needed.

make constant efforts to increase your knowledge and always read and follow the right steps of reputable member I could have mentioned some names but for privacy, sake leave that for you to search out.
What privacy? There is nothing private about this, posts are all available to the public.

Our focus will be on post-editing
Over the last few months, I have spent several hours going through the post histories of legendary and other higher-ranking members of this forum some time I go as far as checking they first post and read the entire first page of such past posts to see how they have evolved and grown to the present level they are at the moment, quite a good number of them have edited their old post this is aimed as enriching the post with the right content to meet up with current demand and some other simply correct some past mistakes as they grow in knowledge and skills.
The advantage of this action is to:
1: make the post become a quality post that represents the present rank and level of knowledge.
2: For the post to contain the right content to serve as a good reference point to other members in the forum.
3: To increase the visibility of the right content for consumers and visitors of the forum.

In Conclusion
1: As a newbie that aims at becoming a reputable and notable member of this forum in the future, make constant efforts to increase your knowledge and always read and follow the right steps of reputable member I could have mentioned some names but for privacy, sake leave that for you to search out.
