Hi - I'm in similar situations - got a few Titans from Tim ~ 4yrs a (2FA) and registered them only a few month a.
Redeemed couple and have few more - now what ?
Tim suddenly stopped answering my pertinent questions couple of month a. ! ? - is he still around/Supporting Titans ?? Hopefully
Do we hodl ? - hoping for BCHs ? Are we totally dependent for any redemption (BTCs) on www.Titanbtc.com - which now doesn't even respond ! ? Quite concerned since a bit of money is in it ..
Would appreciate reassurance - especially from Tim or anybody in the same boat Wink
Happy New Year to All !

I received today (by email) an answer from Tim Filmore, in relation to my request to redeem my 0.5 BCH (bitcoin cash) embedded into my  two-factor (2FA) TitanBTC Coin.
As I think that this answer is in the general interest, I post his answer below :

From Tim Filmore :
Hi,

Thanks for reaching out.  Titan Mint isn't supporting forked coins right now, as the wallets and support processes are still not quite mature enough even for bitcoin cash.  BCH has a few wealthy backers though, who are pushing it hard towards acceptance and they seem to be making progress.  As things come into place we'll be in touch with owners whose coins forked while under our care.  I know this isn't ideal for 2FA coin owners, but its necessary to maintain the security of our customer's BTC at this point.

If you own any private key coins from Titan, you can import that private key to a wallet that supports BCH to claim it.

Let me know if there's anything else you need in the meantime.

I contacted him a couple of weeks ago and he answered me in a day. I had some issue getting the BTC from the 2FA coin.
I also did not get the BCH, I am not sure if Tim knows how to get it and distribute it to the owner...

If he explains you how please share it in this forum!

Cheers!
It's easy to know how to get BCH... Titan Bitcoin owns private key... they have to use some apps as Electron Cash...
I sent many emails and PM to Titan BTC (to redeem my BCH [2FA] embedded in their coins)... they NEVER answered to me ... I think it's really disappointing...
Can you imagine the amount of money they get if they keep BCH embedded in the coins?
If they don't answer me, I will consider TitanBTC is a scam...

I think that titan is kind of in the right here if they dont deliver the alt coins, if with the 2FA they agree that they own the address and only have to deliver 1 BTC I dont see how or why they would have deliver any more
I respect your opinion... but I disagree with that.
When I bought 0.5 Titan Coin in  2014, I didn't know Bitcoin would fork (with BCH creation)... 3 years after.
2FA is based on trust... when Titan Bitcoin sell a Coin, they are responsible for the private key...

Once you get the private keys and you have swept the BTC you can do the following

Yes, thanks... but I haven't PK because it's 2FA
2FA is based on trust !!!

Titan Bitcoin have my private key... but they don't give it to me... I well received my 0.5 BTC but not 0.5 BCH.

I have already reached out to Titan via their website and PMed Tim but haven't heard back from him yet. I notice he hasn't had a post since late March. Hope he is busy working on hooking the ABC Wallet to the backend.

Tim,
Are you working on this? Please keep up posted...

Hello,
I have exactly the same issue... I redeemed (without any issue) my 0.5 BTC Titan Coin (2FA) I bought 3 years before...but I don't know how to obtain my 0.5 BCC Coin....
I tried to send email to [email protected] ... but I haven't received any answer...
How do you contact "Tim" : is he TitanBTC member here?
Did he answer you?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

I bought Titan two-factor physical coins back in 2013 but never claimed the bitcoin from it. Using TitanBtc.com I can see the full balance from the 2013 transaction. My question is how can I redeem the bitcoin cash from it?  I assume the private key associated with the address had been encrypted with the redemption code printed inside the secure seal, however the redemption process offered by Titan seems only support transferring the balance to another Bitcoin address but doesn't give out the private key after the transfer. Any idea and thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Btw, I'd hate to crack the enclosing glass of the physical coin and waste the gift box. So I'm willing to sell the physical coin for just the current BTC+BCC price if anyone here is interested. Titan website has a safe way to transfer, ownership but you will have to figure out how to claim the bitcoin cash part. PM me if you're interested. Thanks!

I believe with the 2fa versions, you will not receive a private key.   The only way to claim BCC would be to message Tim at titan mint directly as he is the holder of those funds, and presumably the BCC.
