yac.coinmine.pl is absolutely SHIT... long downtime, low efficency.. 50% of the time it can't even connect.

Sorry man but you are wrong - pool is running in average at 75% efficiency but few big users are mining with kind of botnets and they have 40-50% of stales. Normal users have in average 5-10%

P2pool is what I have been using. 
I have been thinking of making a public P2pool server for others to use as well, if there would be enough interest in it.
