Indeed seeing is believing and most times, you don't need to beg people to understand things from your own perspective, you just leave them and allow them find the truth through proofs, and how does this proofs come by, it is still through the testimonies of other people and so on. Many people found it hard believing Bitcoin, but today with the growth it has reached, with many platforms already having interest and many institutional investors already buying and holding, they have now realized that indeed Bitcoin is the future. Nowadays, people no longer need other people to convince them into investing in Bitcoin and so on, rather just a mare search on the internet they will get every information they need, and by looking at the marketcap of the crypto space, finalizes their understanding that a market worth such amount will only keep getting better in the future. you should try to provide knowledge to the family about bitcoin with real evidence. because right now if just a knowledge alone without evidence it won't be convincing, the best way is with a significant proof of the price and usefulness of bitcoin, maybe that's what you can show your family
Why would anyone need to prove something? Isn't there enough evidence that bitcoin is going higher and higher in value every year? If the family trusts, then they will be convinced themselves after seeing your profit. I believe that constantly proving something is a thankless job. Especially when it comes to Bitcoin. It is normal to see some people who already knew about bitcoin but reject it come back to us and explain more details about bitcoin.
I have that experience too, and I think they just open their minds after reading something about bitcoin, which makes them want to know more details.

People who don't know about cryptocurrency keep on saying that it is a scam, I don't know the reason for it even though they haven't tried it yet they still keep on bashing it. I have a friend who is like that before but now he told me that he wants to learn cryptocurrency but unfortunately I don't yet good knowledge about it so I only told him a little basic knowledge and recommend him to this forum.

My family tend to believe me when they see how I manage to make decent profits out of it.Just like most of the people, they will gonna believe it when they see some proofs of legitimacy. I myself experienced to have a hard conversation to one person who got scammed by btc networking scheme and told me btc is a scam one. It's because he invested in a fake company and to other person who claimed to be a master in trading bitcoins.
On the other hand, if we can see how far bitcoin is progressing. Even the popular individuals are being hooked by this great technology and innovations given by cryptocurrency.

That's good to know. At some point, we have the same story. I mean, when my parents knew that I was involved with bitcoin, their initial reaction was to stop me from using it or being involved with it. But, just like you, I didn't let their opinion stop me. I still continued with it and continued holding. And then I was able to buy things without asking for money from them. They got curious where I got the financial capacity to buy such things. I told them that it is from bitcoin. They were shocked of course because it turned out that they were wrong about their impression of it.
Now, they are supporting me and my siblings also want to be a part of it, too. Hopefully, other people will believe what bitcoin can really do and remove from their mind the impression that it is just a scam.

Well, this world we find ourselves, people are always sceptical about things they either have no knowledge or little knowledge about. But, once you present them will concrete evidence being either your financial success or something tangible, they become believers. A lot of people believe Bitcoin is a scam due to what the media has preached to them. I believe once the media portray the true identity of Bitcoin, people will have a different perception of what Bitcoin is and its purpose in the financial ecosystem.

You don't have to wait or rub it in, definitely there will be a time that your family will realized that you make the right decision in your life. If they are still interested then good, but if not then continue what you are doing and don't be affected by the negative thoughts around you.
I'm so relate on your story OP, I also experienced being downed by my friends and family as they think that BTC will not make me financially stable in the next upcoming years. Look at them now, look at my friends, they are having a hard time going to work everyday and they are not really introduced on cryptocurrency. But some of my family members right now are already open-minded as I let them try investing on bitcoin and they saw how bitcoin community grow so fast. Right now, I will not say that I'm already successful because I'm still on the process of making my bitcoin investment grow more where I can do anything that I want with my own money.
I'll not give up on my relatives to not know cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.

I've started my journey in the crypto world in 2017 when the market hit the first huge price explosion. My parents had less knowledge about this stuff as like as me but now I understand the potential of digital currencies. I'd call my father a "crypto skeptic" because he still thinks Bitcoin is some kind of scam 
I hope one day he'll see the obvious things and accept the point that cryptocurrency is our future and it's already here.

This is just the beginning of Bitcoin's price, Bitcoin will soar past its present price and I believe up to 10x the present price. And then, those who think that it's expensive at 20K, 30K, 40K, they'll understand that Bitcoin has much potential. LOL, Bitcoin is really cheap right now.

Right now, There are a lot of people that have regrets about not believing in Bitcoin during its infant stages when they had the chance to own a high priced asset like Bitcoin when it was dirt cheap.
Most of the family concepts and view with regards to Bitcoin is more likely to be a scam one based on what they hear from other people's false experience because of their failure that have been through getting into Bitcoin and from television based on the other people's statements because they have been victims of acts that involved Bitcoin and other sort of related activities. People on the first years of Bitcoin do really think that it is impossible and Bitcoin is just a scam currency that will get to waste your time and money which most people have gotten to be wrong because after many years that it existed, it shows us how it have regained from its loss and reach new ATH which breaks through many boundaries and came into improvement that makes other people realize that what they have been calling scam it a legit and valuable one. There were almost no one would actually believe us because its price isn't going up. But when it starts to rise, they'll come and ask us things about it.

Bitcoin is still not a common subject of discussion in my country. Of course it has a niche, but I think we won't see real adoption until we see stores accepting it. Until then, we'll only see accumulation by informed people and institutions. What we can all do is to help our acquaintances with information. No need to do persuassive work. Just spread the information. The ones who will take the time to study the phenomenon will know what to do.

Few years ago, way back year 2014 I admit that I am one of those people who didn't trust bitcoin and saying that bitcoin is a scam and not true and it is because of the reason that bitcoin has been using so many times as a front in every ponzi schemes and the name bitcoin has been introduce to me in a bad way by hearing some bad stories on using it as a tool for scam but I've learned that this is not true and this is just an accusations to the crypto community yet it is true that some people use this as a tool for scam, but if you know what this is all about you might like it to become part of your investments. Just like what other said to see is to believe, meaning you need to see an progress in order for you to believe. The major pump and breaking it's ATH might be a good reason for you to believe on it.

I do not know why I feel that those of us who have any relationship with Bitcoin, either because we own bitcoin or we like its premise "be your own bank" in the individual dimension that that phrase states that can be translated into having control of your assets, we have to keep trying To convince third parties, when we should be is strengthening ourselves in individual projects, continue buying, selling or simply supporting the network by installing the Bitcoin Core.
The signal is there, nobody can give themselves in this present 2021 ignorant of bitcoin, it depends on each one to get involved, there should not be headaches for those who are not, on the contrary, you have to start looking at those who arrive, Big whales in theory are taking away the opportunity every day for ordinary people to get a share of the bitcoin that remains.

I am a person who has become part of the mistrust of bitcoin. And that is the very wrong thing, when I rate bitcoin as a joke without knowing it first. These words kept in my mind and encouraged me to try several searches about bitcoin since 2015. My experiments with looking for it in various media so that my curiosity was really relieved. 2016, I put 20 bitcoins in a hardware wallet which at that time was still very foreign to me. 2017 was volatile when prices began to signal the ferocity of bitcoins.
my only mistake was selling all the bitcoins too early in 2017.

It's sad that people who don't know much about something always act like they're smarter and all-knowing.
Your family did that when they told you that it was a scam and now want to learn more about it. So they never knew much about it and tried to judge it anyway.

he was and still is my best friend told me briefly about it back then and
I was totally dismissive of it. I finally gave in and got involved in 2017.
We have other friends who knew about it but have only taken it seriously
since November 2020.
