If they solve an NP-Complete problem which would take more power to crack using traditional methods than is currently doable they are legit.
So far they haven't demonstrated that, but this thing should be capable of delivering.

It would give them credibility if they could provide solutions to intractable problems or give the factors of RSA-2048, but they've done nothing of the sort and in fact avoid saying it will do anything specific. They make only vague statements about using it for "business solutions" but not a word about what sort of processes it can handle "out of the box" (so to speak) - or even that it will run any processes at all.

That's like asking people who climb mountains to climb the highest mountain on mars. They are claiming that they did climb the highest mountain didn't they? A complete fraud!!! Wink

What you are asking is simply even beyond the theoretical capabilities.

Don't ask me what kind of applications they have in mind, but if you are really interested (or really skeptical for that matter) I'm sure the information is out there.

If they demonstrate capabilities which would require more energy than we currently can utilize in computing it doesn't matter if it is a black box.
They could have a couple of monkeys with typewriters crammed in there for all I care if they do that.
