Also, just as mentioned by OP, it is not a centralized coin. This is an advantage over fiat that is controlled, over most altcoins. It is not in competition with any altcoin in my view, it has had more fork than any other coin that I know.

This article explains cleary why BITCOIN is such a great breakthrough that it does not deserve to even be mentioned with so called 'alt-coins'.

BITCOIN
it's not just a string of blocks as others would like to simplify but a technology breakthrough in monetary system creation: p2p networks, proof-of-work, fixed supply. These are supported by network effects, lindy effect (the more it survives, the more robust it becomes and therefore expected to survive for longer and schelling point.
i believe this is why bitcoin maximalist get so annoyed when someone comes up statements like ‘better than bitcoin’ haha. Bitcoin is a monetary system that is not centralised, there is no other way to create a  better bitcoin.

Yes I completely agree with the write up. The nature of bitcoin makes it unique especially the fixed volume of 21 million both in circulation and in reserve makes bitcoin to be valuable and also scarce. There is no altcoin that will for now better and more valuable than bitcoin. Bitcoin will continue to lead while others will follow.
