Apologies for posting back-to-back, but opted to reply first to your other post before reading the rest of thread, just now getting to this one.

I've spent no less than an hour on their website, thus aware of all the facts. You are stating as a fact that I didn't check my facts. I've already stated elsewhere, in no uncertain terms, that it's both. I HAVE NOT CONCLUDED THAT TRINITY COLLEGE IS AN "ONLINE UNIVERSITY". I have implied, more than once, that if there is a Zhou Tong taking classes there, it's online.

If you can't add to the investigation with proof that I'm right or wrong (I can handy it), then get the fuck off of my thread. I'm trying to help, and you feel it important to stick it up my ass without first applying Parkay. And by helping, it helps you. If I'm off-base, it hurts Bitcoin and you. Therefore, prove to me I'm wrong. Hell, you're taking for granted that Zhou Tong is a 17-year-old kid without proof, but ignoring what I've brought to the table proving elsewise.

If Zhou Tong exists, he came here to play with the grownups, but when things went sour, he cries to us wanting us to stop the investigation for fear of his family and future career. He even claims to have thought about suicide. Don't you see? Whoever is behind that Zhou Tong avatar is playing to our human emotions. Kevin Lim is fully capable of pulling this off, practicing all he's read.

BTW, how the hell did I slander Trinity College?

Phin's implying that Trinity College is an "online university" in the perjorative sense of that term (Zhou chose it because he only needs to go to his mail box to attend).  He could quite easily have checked the extent to which Trinity College offers online courses and whether they're offered to students who are resident overseas but he was less concerned with facts than he was about the narrative he wants to create about everything remotely connected with Zhou.

Maybe he considers "online university" to be derogatory ?
http://www.khanacademy.org/ is one such online university and it is well respected so I dont get what is wrong with the term.

what was slanderous about stating 300 people attend face to face classes and 1200 attend online classes?  Maybe he is mistaken (I do not know and do not really care), but it is far from being slander if so.

Phin, the fact that you've concluded Trinity College is an "online university" is a demonstration of just how flawed your reasoning has become.  The Foundation Studies students are face to face students, as are the students of the Residential College.  Students of the Theological School have the option of studying online, in the community or on campus.

Believe what you want about Zhou and whether he's studying in Australia but there is no need to slander the reputation of one of Australia's oldest academic institutions in the process.

Seriously, it's these kind of wild, unfounded assertions which are leading to people ignoring your posts.

Or of the other 300 (only) people that attend that college (approximately 1,200 online). The only reason I can see Zhou Tong attending that college is so that he can be only 2.9 miles from his virtual mailbox.

I sympathize with your position, but I also think you've done something I would never do (whether I were 17 or 70 years old): You are responsible, directly or indirectly, for a situation where money was stolen from your customers, and you haven't paid them back. It's as simple as that. If I were in your place, I would be paying people out of my own pocket, taking out loans if necessary. It's the only honorable course of action. And no amount of money is worth losing your honor.

The only way you will ever be free of this shame is by honoring your debts. Now. Not later.
