Damn. Yet another way to waste hours of my time when I should be coding. 
There are probably lots of things in the sky too, but the human lifespan is not long enough to investigate this.
I can tell you there are at least two whales in the sky.

+1. This is a google maps-style interface that lets you zoom and scroll more easily. I highly recommend it if you're going to spend more than 2 minutes looking at today's XKCD.
