It was a mismatch, but as we all know Fury was recently signed to ESPN who have given him a two (or three?) fight deal with a fat purse.

Any logical person would knock over the easiest bums just to get some easy money, before putting in the hard work when rematching Wilder early next year.

Now that Anthony Joshua is pretty much out of the picture due to fighting Ruiz next, who else do we really care about seeing Tyson face? We're pretty much out of options...

Chisora? Nope.
Dillian Whyte? Nope.
Joseph Parker? Nope.

I think the only fight anybody might want to see is Fury v Pulev, anybody else is a guaranteed stomp.

It's a win but surely Tyson Fury has nothing to be proud of, he literally fought a nobody even before the fight started. Tom Schwarz was a mediocre heavyweight boxer at best who have padded his resume by fighting guys we also don't know, I mean aside from Tyson Fury the name of the guys he previously fought won't even ring any bell. Like what I have said before why are top heavyweight dodging each other and fighting nobodies, they do have this contracts tied up to them and all but they are damaging their reputations for it.

.. snip..

Yes and according to Wilder,

Quote
“It was a cool performance. It wasn’t much of an opponent. I think (Schwarz) only threw four punches. He was a punching bag.” Deontay Wilder told The Athletic over the phone on Sunday.

“Fury did what he was supposed to do. They’re trying to promote him up, saying things, selling this story about him over and over again, talking about him as the lineal champion… It’s building him up. But the performance (on Saturday against Tom Schwarz) was just OK.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/wilder-furys-win-ok-schwarz-punching-bag--140064

And just like the sentiments of others, it was a mismatch, they have just the fight in paper saying that Tom Schwarz has a chance, but insider knows that Tyson Fury will dominate this guy.

I am a big fan of the Gypsy King, but I didn't really enjoyed this particular fight. It was too much one-sided and as predicted, ended too quickly. Fury deserved a better opponent. Before the fight I had high hopes for Tom Schwarz, and read a lot of articles about him. But inside the ring, he looked quite amateurish. BTW, anyone know who is Fury's next opponent?
Same here.Im aint entertained on what i saw yet its already been predictable on whose gonna win.Watching just the highlights

it turns out that Schwarz do really act as a punching bag for that Big dude.Bleeding on his nose even though he do block up those punches
until he goes down and later on ref decide to stop the match.

His next opponents might either of these two; https://metro.co.uk/2019/06/17/kubrat-pulev-and-jarrell-miller-opponent-options-for-tyson-fury-9973596/

If someone asked me if which of these two heavyweight boxers who I would pick or choose that he will win in the fight is i'm in favor to Tyson Fury based on the BoxRec and we all know that Tyson Fury is still undefeated or never been defeated in his past fights except one boxer where Tyson Fury did not win or lose the fight.

Tyson Fury is one hell of a fast moving heavy weight boxer. Seen some of his fights the guy is a monster. Even at his height he can avoid getting hit by over hear punch. There ain't not much boxer of their size that can move fast. His upper cut is the most furious. I don't know what Tom Schwarz can do but if I have the chance to bet its going to be Fury Tyson,

think tyson fury will take this also, this guy is incredible so fast he is a monster for sure, i think he will overpower tom

What do you mean "he will overpower tom"?

For Christ sake, the game is over, Tyson Fury already won the fight via second round KO/TKO.

So obviously, Fury overpower Schwarz because he is too much for Tom, good overall movement, heavy puncher, total package that it's hard to find in the heavyweight division right now.
How could you be so cruel ,this literally mean that the guy is just spamming and not aware of the real score lol 😂..but I must admit that i didn’t catch the game for different time zone.i just watch via replay but worth the time to watch

It's like a walk in the park for Tyson Fury, brilliant defense and offense, very much surprised on his body defense to parry Tom's punches, it was all Fury all night I'm expecting an easy fight for Tyson but not that easy well congratulation for a well-deserved win.

Anyone noticed how he did the 'rope-a-dope'? Schwarz throws like 4-5 punches but Fury eluded everything, lol. And then he switches stances on the second round that totally lost Schwarz and didn't know what to do next, that's why Fury was able to caught him with good punches then he eventually went down and never recovered.
I was very wrong about my prediction for this one - Tyson looked like a world class heavyweight champion

Tyson Fury is just toying with Tom Schwarz. Feel's bad for Tom though, he is being use here as a bait, but I guess this is his biggest paycheck so far so it's all good. Bring the rematch with Wilder to settle the score once and for all.

Total domination from Fury on this fight. Longer reach and taller. He has all the advantages so it is an easy win for him. I'm waiting for Wilder - Fury Part 2 Cheesy. Well deserved win from him.

Yep it was a very clear fight until then. Fury definitely was the better boxer this night.

But - to be honest - i don't get why the referee stopped the fight so early.
Schwarz got up again after the first knockdown and switched into defensive. Fury attacks but Schwarz is covering. Only 6 seconds remaining in that round. Why stop the fight at this point? Schwarz would have survived the next seconds and eventually recover in the minute before round 3.
But i guess that's typical american boxing behaviour  Wink

Congrats to Tyson Fury for a great performance though!

Exactly, I think he was just waiting for the next round that is why he is just covering himself. Its about 10 seconds for the the round to end but the referee stopped the fight. If Schwarz just given the time to rest a bit he could probably box up to 4th round and maybe have the chance to throw big punches to Fury. Not something that I expect to happen but at least Schwarz proved himself not gonna be knocked in the first round.

And the results are in, sorry for the spoiler but there are no upsets tonight.

Quote
The 6-feet-9, 263-pound Fury knocked down Schwarz late in the second round. Germany’s Schwarz got up, but Fury finished him off before the second round ended.

Referee Kenny Bayless stepped in to save a bloodied, defenseless Schwarz at 2:54 of the second round.

So I hope that Wilder vs Fury will fight next. But Deontay will need to get over Ortiz though, so that a rematch with Fury will be more entertaining and of course bring more money in the table.

I just check the odds. Its 1.78 and 11.3 for Schwarz, if the fight will end where Schwarz win it will be a huge hit for those who bet for him. You can just see betting 1ETH and you gets to be 11ETH richer. I didn't know Schwarz is actually a warrior as well, no loss too. I don't have access to PPV so any update about the fight please.

I think that Tyson Fury will outbox the German here and win a comfortable decision with many of the other heavyweights champion paying close attention.
Tyson looks to be called as he lays in a bed in the locker room before his big entrance to defend the title.
Getting excited for this one and might stay up past my bed time for it

I don't have pay per view on that fight and I'll just wait for somebody out there in my social media to post the live telecast, honestly, I never watch any of Fury's live telecast on pay per view, but after Wilder's match things has become interesting to this big guy, he is getting better he still has a lot to give.

For a guy who almost beat Wilder my bet is on Tyson, I have never seen a guy so huge who has very quick hands and moves so fast, he has all the advantages but we'll see what Schwarz can bring to the table I will be excited if Schwarz really comes to fight and do a Wilder, always coming in looking to land a knock out punch.

What are your thoughts?
Schwarz definitely is an underdog - but, to my mind, that doesn't justify such high odds.
He did a great preparation, lost 20 pounds and is in the shape of his life. Guess there also might be mental advantages on his side.

I'm taking this chance! BTC
When it comes to boxing when you are lessening your weight this is really the hardest part yet your body isn't get used to fight with having that kind of lost weight.
Adjustments and preparations is needed and a strong dedication to beat up a top ranking one.Imagine the gap of these two boxers you can eventually say that whose gonna knocked out. hehe

I don't know mate, Tyson Fury has face tougher opposition and I'm sure he has a lot of experience not to fall in another upset here similar to Joshua. I'm sorry but I'm not taking any chances though. Fury is too intelligent and his boxing IQ is far more superior. Goodluck though.
I also think that Fury will manage and survive this fight, he wanted to stay on the top and prove that he will not make any mistake losing this fight,
he have the skills and talents to stay at the level, the capabilities to counter every attempt and the finishing blow if given a chance, we will see how
this fight will end, I'll be with Fury but not interested to take the risk and win small odd.

Even so, Tom Schwarz, a German boxer, who is only 24 years old, has been recorded as having never lost even in the 24 matches he played. even he said "I only have great courage ..." from that Tom Schwarz has a great motivation to defeat classmate Tyson Fury who just finished his 28th match in December last year when he was serving a heavyweight boxer.

You're absolutely right about that. His physical condition is outstanding. Though, he had to deal with mental problems like drug addiction & depression in the past, and Schwarz has a 'once-in-a-lifetime' chance. I guess the fight will be brutal.

Less than 20 hours until german heavyweight boxer Tom Schwarz faces popular Tyson Fury in Las Vegas!

This is going to be hell of a battle!

Fury says:

Quote
“He’s just seen Andy Ruiz beat (Anthony) Joshua and that will have elevated him to new levels. But, honestly, I don’t care. I can deal with anybody who’s in my way. I cannot be defeated. I must break him.”
(Source)

Whereas Schwarz mentions:

Quote
"I'm not tired of life, i just have huge balls."
(Source, german)

Odds clearly are against Schwarz (14:1 on cloudbet.com), as he is ranked #56 of BoxRec and Fury being #4.
