No, we dont want another "Bitcoin Jesus".

Just see the damage the last one did.

this guy of the article, he is talking about bitcoin in an informative sense, he is not defending or criticizing

for now, yes. but the author is speculating about it because tony robbins is a "guru" type. he's got a silver tongue and he uses it to peddle books and such to millions of people. if he keeps delving into the crypto scene, he'll probably come out looking like a more persuasive version of tai lopez. it probably won't be good for crypto......

What the heck is bitcoin, and how does it work? Find out here. https://t.co/KkenntACZd

Our news channels get very excited and are very rash to draw conclusions, in my opinion the guy posted something (information) and let anyone draw their own conclusions, the problem is that in his article has more negative words about bitcoin than words positive about bitcoin. This article will only move away people from using bitcoin, I do not understand why the hell these news channels are posting this

We might get one anyway. I don't think any of us ever asked for Roger Ver either. Cheesy

Tony Robbins is a name I recognize. I drove by a billboard for some event he was headlining in Los Angeles and my girlfriend said she knew who he was. I guess he's big in the motivational speaking and self-help world. Not my cup of tea, but it suggests he's got a pretty big audience.

At least the excerpt from the article on his site didn't sound all bad.

Tony Robbins is one of the biggest scammers in the whole world. He just... talks ? That's it, he knows nothing, he has expertise on nothing, he is definitely smart but not in the book way smart he is more like street smart. He charges insane amounts to give talks and his tickets are quite expensive to go watch and even if you pay nothing and watch him on youtube you can see that he talks about the same BS of self improving and self loving stuff people NEED to hear.

If you tell someone they are worthy and they are great and they are meant for something huge they will love you and thats how he won the love of people. He kept telling them great things, nobody made any fame by telling people they are worthless after all.

Moreover, in reality not all people are great. Now he talks about bitcoin? He is full of it and he can stuff his bitcoins where sun doesn't shine.

This guy is a con man, plain and simple.  He will say anything to bring in attention and money.  I despise these gurus, they don't actually do anything helpful for the world.  He is after one thing which is money!  Tony Robbins, Joel Olsteen, Tai Lopez, etc these are predatory people that are always looking for new victims to suck dry.

As per his website:

About Tony

World authority on leadership psychology

Tony Robbins is an entrepreneur, best-selling author, philanthropist and the nation’s #1 Life and Business Strategist.

So I'm sure that Bitcoin might be on his radar because he knows he can make money out of it. He might not be a Bitcoin expert, but this dude is looking for every opportunity and Bitcoin might fit his bill. So let him speak about Bitcoin and see if his 'fanatics' will be buying when he starts to preach crypto in his leadership seminars around the world.

Never heard about this guy, but I took a quick look at google and it seems like he's a well known business strategist with a big following so, regardless of what he has to say about bitcoin, it's always good to have these kind of people who have influence over others talk about bitcoin, you can bet that a lot of his fans will probably get curious and will start look into bitcoin...so, expert or not, as long as he can reach the masses, it's a win for bitcoin.

these days it seems like everyone (literary any idiot who has ever been in any market and then hears about bitcoin) is becoming an expert about bitcoin over night. and the worst part is that they all insist on the same thing, to impart their "wisdom" about the thing they found out about yesterday on the rest of us.

i am sure this situation will only get worse as bitcoin grows more since there will be more people hearing about it and they all would want to tell the rest of us about their sudden expertise in this market that we were in for years Cheesy

So Tony Robbins thinks that bitcoin is like "going to Vegas"?In his mind bitcoin=gambling or some weird "investment" made just for fun. Grin
He is NOT a bitcoin expert and he is pretty much incompetent about crypto and the blockchain technology.
We don't need such investors.

So another who realized where can make money. He probably already plans to create his own personal coin and he will wash  people brains to buy it.

However, if someone listens to him, let him promote Bitcoin, its better for all of us.

After ten years in existence, Bitcoin has officially made the radar of multi-millionaire motivational speaker Tony Robbins. “Team Tony,” presumably employees of Robbins, recently posted an article entitled “What You Need to Know About Bitcoin” on TonyRobbins.com which Robbins promptly tweeted about:

What the heck is bitcoin, and how does it work? Find out here. https://t.co/KkenntACZd

    — Tony Robbins (@TonyRobbins) December 30, 2018

Robbins, most famous for firewalking during his motivational speaking engagements and selling his “Personal Power” self-help series to professionals looking to maximize their potential, has in later years taken to giving advice about finances and wealth management.

The article reads, in part:

Bitcoin is decentralized. No single bank, government, company or individual owns the network or has control over it. This means that your accounts can never be frozen, a government cannot devalue the currency, it can be used in every country, and, more ominously, because of the anonymous nature of bitcoin, the technically savvy can avoid taxation and use bitcoin as payment for any kind of illegal good or service.

While this is the first article to appear on Robbins’ website about Bitcoin, last year he described it as a gamble. He told CNBC:

I think [bitcoin] is very iffy. I don’t have a clue. I look at that as it’s like going to Vegas.

He went on to say that “it’s just for fun” and he knows he “could lose.” He prefers index funds for investments, at least as of that time.

Tony Robbins shares the mindset you need to invest in bitcoin from CNBC.

Tony Robbins: The Next Bitcoin Jesus?
We can speculate that the posting of an article on his website regarding Bitcoin is likely dipping his toes in the water. If the article garners a lot of attention and it seems like something his client base would be interested in, it might not be long before Robbins is the next Bitcoin evangelist, educating the masses and teaching people how not to get rekt.

Of course, Bitcoin already has its share of evangelists and professional speakers. Andreas Antonopoulos primarily travels the world addressing audiences on the nature and importance of Bitcoin, and his book Mastering Bitcoin is considered one of the most important books on the subject.

Before joining the Big Block crusade and fomenting a fork of the Bitcoin network into Bitcoin Cash, Roger Ver’s evangelism was so fervent and frequent that he was dubbed “Bitcoin Jesus” within and without the community.

One thing is for certain: Robbins has a wide reach. If he were suddenly to become a Bitcoin proponent during the next bull run, it could feasibly take him from millionaire to billionaire, regardless of how his own crypto portfolio worked out.
