I think you are the one who is too busy thinking about merits  Cool
Using large font and colored text usually bothers the reader and don't think it will make your post more valuable.
You won't get any merit by creating such threads.

The loyal bitcointalk members don't care about merit. Because they don't need and ask merit. They want to learn and share about crypto stuff on here.

The merit system was not created to be neglected. It is a measure of your contribution and all members need it and it drives most of the posts made.
It was created to motivate users to contribute qualitatively, by researching and improving their knowledge base.
It becomes and abuse when you randomly posts in all boards with little knowledge on the topic and little interest in going through the contributions of others.

Share your ideas and knowledge on here. You will receive merits automatically. Don't spam and don't make garbage posts to get merits on here.

No, you would not receive merits automatically, you could even have posts which are objectively high quality get ignored or go under in the sea of posts.

But, Yes, if you don't spam and keep contributing you would eventually get merited, and also something else, you would have become more knowledgeable.

The loyal bitcointalk members don't care about merit. Because they don't need and ask merit. They want to learn and share about crypto stuff on here. Today most bounty hunters act as merit farmers. Because they need to upgrade their rank to more signature spaces. Those members already posted too many garbage posts. That's why bitcointalk ranks are changing day by day. My personal opinion is to try to be a loyal bitcointalk member. Share your ideas and knowledge on here. You will receive merits automatically. Don't spam and don't make garbage posts to get merits on here.

Threads about how to earn merits is already too many.

Yet, you created another topic about merits. Nice to receive advice from someone with only one merit.

The merit system has become a little warped. With people making numerous posts about how to get it and then the people who come to bash them in the comments to try and get favour from those with smerits.

Chasing merits is not the problem, but do that by making quality posts and not by seeking attention and approval.
In one of theymos' posts about merit he wrote:

While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.

Do not beg for merit excessively.

This also applies to those seeking merits, don't agree with a member in a bid to get merited.

Please refrain from using large fonts on your posts. Even though the forum provides that option, it is generally pointless and frowned upon.

The topic at hand has been mentioned hundreds of times. Personally, I don’t care if people are chasing merits or not, providing they do it through creating decent content, avoid spamming the forum and respecting the rules.

The problem is that most posts don’t care for content that much, and simply default to quick answers in order to raise post count or comply with campaign quotas. Then, many realize that in order to rank-up they need merit and start whine about it and, at the same time, showing a posting history that is far from meritable. The principle to follow is simple: invest time and effort into your posts, and think through the content before hitting the post button.

You complain of thread about merit being to many and you still adding to that huge figures. And this post just reeks of merit hunting. Mostly why newbies don't get merit is because the see it as an obsession their post are always geared to earn merit and most time fails to get that needed merit.  Even if you change colour of your text to white and the background black you won't get merited for that. Be focused ignore any hunting for merit make post that deep down you know can trigger your audience and just enjoy the forum

First off, stop using unnecessarily enlarged and colored text.

Back to topic: Some people create topics on how to get merits even though they themselves couldn't get some. And another thing: While I agree with what you're trying to say, I think we also have enough topics telling us to not focus on getting merits. It's ironic.
