Every day there are many new posts released, but the content is too much repetition, if similar problems are in a reply to the post, it not so clear, many people can see other people's solutions, the forum can improve the problem-solving Efficiency, reduce spam.
If you are talking about the hundreds of spam topics on Bitcoin discussion, then sadly they don't break "rules" of the forum and thus won't be deleted or anything. You can report these topics if you think they are just spam and a moderator can look into it. But likely nothing much will happen because as said before they don't break any rules.

It looks like spam massage because same title but the contain is different. Some new topic but actually not, it was created out of curiosity because unknowingly the old one.

If it will be deleted more will be affected most specially Legendaries and Heroes because basically they are the one who have massages in the old threads.
As time goes on it will become more and more new users, that's the main reason, Every user has their own era and surely they can not find various threads and also special post because we all know there may be tens of thousands of threads that have been made. But I see it as something that is happening also elsewhere, which may not change is the main point of discussion. But many shit posts are not useful, but usually the moderator directly behave and act by removing the post. One of the easiest ways is to do "Report to moderator" and I think all the administrators in this forum have professioanl capacity, they choose and sort out many post and thread every day.

Up to this post I have made data recorded up to: 31515383 Posts in 996374 Topics by 1891236 Members.

The amount is fantastic for a forum and of course this is not an easy job, we should all be able to contribute by participating in the report so that the work of moderators / administrators much easier.

Simply report those thread using the "Report to Moderator" link found on the lower right corner of the OP. Having redundant threads create more spam flood. We cannot really stop people for doing so but we can constantly report them to help the Moderators to clean up this forum.

A better approach is to tell the person making the similar post that a similar thread exists, give them a link to that original thread, and ask them to lock the thread they created. Put this message in a post so others can see it and direct their comments to the original thread, rather than the repeat.

It is always like this in the forum especially when there are new members in the forum. Most of them are lazy to do some research first about their questions and in result, they would create similar posts that are already in the forum. In some threads that I see has a similar topic, I always comment that there is already a similar one but as you can see, nothing is happening.
This happens a lot even in other local forums that share the same topic of discussion only different grammars so far we can not do anything other than reporting the moderator and weird also the topic of this case too many responds. Maybe for us also should be more . wise, if there is a spam topic we should not answer the topic .... let's not support spam topic

Do you think you are the only one knows about this matter? Have you considered high ranking members who've been here for years? and encountered this issued, most of them don't report it since it's not a copy paste if you saw two likely thread but they have differences, perhaps the two-person posted at the same time, (Rarely happen), but if you want you can just ignore it. Help your self too. haha

Every day there are many new posts released, but the content is too much repetition, if similar problems are in a reply to the post, it not so clear, many people can see other people's solutions, the forum can improve the problem-solving Efficiency, reduce spam.

They have the alias of spam threads, which leads to the result of having spam posts. These are the sections where a single thread has over 50 pages - even 100 pages of posts which no one really reads. Yes it gets updated pretty often, though there are new replies, there is a very high chance that the answer of that member has the same answers of those 10 ~ 20 members before him.

Now the introduction of the Merit System lessen this anomaly. By having Merit added, then not only the moderators but also all the members can judge ones post. And what I mean by that is, they could easily report those that are spamming. Now we can who really are making quality posts to this forum.

Now people will really have to work hard in order for them to rank up, by that they need to produce quality posts. Improving themselves will make them realize that, they are posting in the threads that are worthless anymore and move to new sections that really needs attention.

There is no way to stop repetitive similar posts because everyone is allowed to post anything anywhere in the forum without any restrictions. Maybe implementing some new system like the Merit system for this matter will help reduce such spams.

No need to introduce another system for this as it will complicate the rankings and leveling up. The admin should just add the text in the official thread that members should also consider he uniqueness of the content while awarding merits.

This is something I am going to follow while warding my merit points for sure. It is obvious that most of the members are are adding replies to threads having 500 + replies are doing this for increasing the activity. Note that all members here might not be interested in merits, they might just want to add some posts so as to make the profile look real.

Unless it's a word for word copy of a previous post no rule has been violated, reporting the post to a moderator won't do anything.

To the OP, this is a good question, keep fighting the good fight to clean up this forum!

This wont do, why? some threads made by newbie are also made by alts so that there another alts can reply and easily get a post for the signature campaign. This is a cycle of shitposter and spammer. The best way is really to report it to mods and it is up to them to do the right move and judgement.

We are both aware that most redundant threads are pointless or with just a mere intention of sig spamming. I still recommend to report that thread and let the moderator decide whether the trade is within their tolerance or not. Your approach is also good. Why not do both?  Wink
