Coinomi is the oldest and the most trusted multicurrency wallet, you can download it to your mobile phone.
Also some staking eallets like Cobo looks good.

THe only multiwallet I use is the Ledger Nano S (hadware one).. I don't trust any other online multiwallet because I think it's easily hackable.

Multi wallets are great because of convenience especially if you are someone who always makes transactions with different kinds of coins, I use Eidoo and Blockchain wallet a lot because I mostly just deal in Bitcoin and Ethereum based tokens. I love gate.io wallet but I don't always feel secure using it because I feel like I am basically just using the exchange to store my funds but it has more variety.

Remember the multi wallets don't give the best security system.
Depending on the wallet.

If these multi wallets are hardware wallets that's indicated to the article such as;

  • Ledger nano s
  • Trezor
  • Keepkey

I also used coinomi and I have no issues with them too.

I noticed that in recent times, even wallets there were previously made for just one coin has now been modified to accommodate others as well, one prime example of such is the Blockchain wallet, they started with bitcoin, now they accept Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and even Stellar.

I have Trezor One. A hardware wallet that supports currently 1011coins. It could be considered as a multi-wallet? I think that yes! In the one most secure place I can hold 1011 cryptocurrencies!  Cheesy

rather than use it and everyone is prefer to use each official wallet and diversify all of their amounts into the various wallet.
I agree and the official wallet is the main choice that I always use, because it is more supportive for the coin itself and also does not need to pay for it. But everyone has their own choice and convenience for the wallet they will use.

These wallet are good but not so good as the article said. So many hacked cases already happened on ledger. Is this based on the popularity?
