Those who made their silly predictions have the same thing in mind and that is to discouraged users from using bitcoin. But their plan was not successful and so almost every year they are making false predictions towards bitcoin. But all of their predictions never happened and so bitcoin users have became fed up of their predictions and focus only on promoting bitcoins. And so after how many years have past we are harvesting the efforts we place into bitcoin and that is bitcoin at $1000.00.

5000$ is nothing, I even read somewhere it will go to $50k by 2020. You can't successfully predict bitcoin, its only fun to read such predictions, I would not  lead by that and put my money on it. Yes I think it will rise, but I wouldnt dare predict how much and in how many years.

Where is the prediction of the Wall Street brokers of $5000 a coin 2 years ago? This is easily the number 1 flopped prediction of all time  Grin
Not only wall street, several other people around the globe made unwanted predictions. One among the top core developer before being the part of R3 reveal a statement that bitcoin is failed. This has been overcome by bitcoin seems to be the flopped prediction.

there is always a big difference between Speculation, Guess and FUD.
most of what we see these days are guesses and whenever there is a dip or correction or sometimes even when price is stable we see the FUD come out.
and i believe we have to exclude these two whenever we want to analyze the "predictions" because for that, the only valid thing is speculation and when there is some kind level of analysis is included in it. otherwise it is all pointless.

Check out the price predictions from 'experts' for 2014 at the end of 2013.

If you'd listened to them you would've had a very sad year waiting for 4 grand.

Anyone making predictions is a bit dumb really though it's fun for everyone else to point and laugh.

Ya I don't understand why people try and predict a new radical world currency. It'll either be worth a lot or a little in the future. That's my prediction. It's vague and it's correct Smiley

Exactly.  Hindsight is 20/20, and anyone who puts stock in predictions--especially about bitcoin, where rational analysis is all but impossible--is an insane person.  These are all just darts being thrown, nothing more.  And some of them have been really bad.

Bitcoin has brought a whole new world to which these "traditional" analysts do not know and do not seem to care to know. They are trapped in their own ignorance and can not even admit that they were wrong.

Prices mentioned by the last one is worse than FUD itself. But if Segwit does not activate and if transactions take more than 2 or 3 hours just to get 1 confirmation then we could see a slight loss in interest that will make the price fall and fluctuate maybe between $600 - $800. Consider the situation if the mempool transaction count regularly reaches 50,000 on a weekly basis.
