yea its supposed to be. I knew that Blockchain would be there on top of list because its the heart of bitcoin system. secondly bitcointalk.org is aslo expected one. but bitcoin.org had been there on 4th position which I haven't thought. well ranking matters a lot for having competition in the web market.

Don't understand the list... some sites have 1 million+ alexa and aren't even in the global rankings.
"The sites in the top sites lists are ordered by their 1 month alexa traffic.

The 1 month rank is calculated using a combination of average daily visitors and pageviews over the past month. The site with the highest combination of visitors and pageviews is ranked #1."

I think that domain authority is a better way to measure and rank websites.
It`s not about website traffic, bitcoin websites need high guality backlinks from trusted platforms.

Even without fighting about the authenticity of the results given by Alexa, I would have to agree that Blockchain and this site itself would be on the top of the tree for bitcoin sites.

That Blockchain.info domain is so good that it probably just attracts people who are just learning at first.

Alexa Rank is for entertainement purpose only. It is totally inacurate and doesn't give a real image of the situation. It is just an asset for Amazon that was supposed to get them traffic. To be polite it is a pure garbage. When i ask some stats to someone and the guy tell me here is my Alexa then be sure he doesn't know about the real value or he is just trying to fool you.

It is not a reliable traffic measurement tool and can be easily faked. For exempple, did you know there are lot of webmasters blocking their bots for crawling their websites via robots.txt ? I do for some sites. how Alexa can know who is better when they don't have full data ?

One of the methods of Alexa is, it collects datas from their toolbar installed by users, (they say it themwelves) In some niches it is a necessity to have a toolbar installed in browser so it's pretty usual to see some niche websites having a better Alexa ranking than others, but if you check some others tools like Google you will see something completly different.

Using Alexa ranking as argument was used years back by people trying to sell banners ads on their site, as it's easy to play with. Like PR was used too as argument years back, like how Trust Flow Citation Flow is used today

So what is a better, more accurate list of website traffic?

Interesting to see. Thanks!

I just wonder what some of the sketchy sites like bitminter are making. Surprising to see them on there.

That's the true reality. I believe directbet comes under the top 10 traffic websites by bitcoin users. As 90% of the bitcoin users who gamble prefers it.

Gambling will get you nowhere, the more you bet the more you loose.
Casino business is made by loosers. If people would win there would be no casino's.
This is the reason i would like to have my own casino.
Why people are so stupid?
Contradicting yourself?

You said casino business is made by loosers. But you want to put up your own casino.
People who goes to casino are stupid. Again, having a casino would make you what?

So, which one are you? loosers or stupid?

Funny Guy...
All Casino Income is made by loosers
I think it's just a misunderstanding, he (Kemarit) thought you were referring to people who play in a casino are losers, in the sense that they're stupid people, while I think you meant that players generally lose more than the house loses.

Anyway, pretty good to see that crypto-games is actually at the 19th place, good to see they're growing Smiley
Hmm. He probably meant it in both sense. He's just being deliberately offensive.

Anyway, I also, especially checked out the linked just to see where we (crypto-games.net) are at.  Grin 19th!
I'm looking forward to seeing it among the top 5. Soon.  Wink All the best CG!

Pretty crazy to see that we're in 19th place, I remember they were still relatively unpopular little more than a years ago.
I especially remember a conversation in the chat on the website that they were going for organic growth, meaning that they didn't go for any real advertising, except for the sig campaign of course.

Good to see that it has all paid off Smiley
And, OP is apparently in some kind of a power trip. I didn't notice the self-moderated bit at first.
But then you delete a number of posts.

Couldn't take the ''being deliberately offensive'' part huh?  Roll Eyes
Or were you, perchance, hoping to see some users say your website should definitely be among the top? Haha. Hilarious.  Grin

Anyway, as for topic and thread, you know where you can shove it.
