Some rumors said that CZ was satoshi but of course that was just a rumor. People cannot stop linking satoshi to every famous crypto user but to me, it is not a big deal if you add satoshi in the list only to give credits of what he did because without him, everything that we see in crypto right now will also be non existent.

I am not surprised anymore to see CZ once again as the top 1 wealthiest man in the cryptocurrency world but I wonder why there is no Vitalik on the list? The man behind etherium because it is still in the second spot in the crypto marketcap rankings. Maybe this list was based only by this year? Because there are now new names that are added.

I actually didn't think it the way you did, but then, I think you are absolutely right, to even add to what you've said, we do not know if he is actually CZ or any other person on the list already, if this be, then it means him appearing two times which is not absolutely proper.
You made me realize a list like this should be for people with real identity alone because him, her or them in the person(s) of satoshi might have even launched other successful project(s) which might have made him, her or them more wealthier than we are currently estimating.

CZ and Sam are likely to have the fastest growth not just with their wealth but also in popularity. Well, entrepreneurs and businesses for sure will be looking into the venture of having an exchange business.

Well, we may not be on that list but look how crypto changed their lives and so as ours. We've got representative from the crypto market and never forget the genius behind where it all started, Satoshi.

Most of them are owners and creators of exchanges and huge coins but I don't think Satoshi should still be listed there since he is nowhere to be found so no one knows if he's still holding such an amount of Bitcoin. However, these personalities should serve as an inspiration, especially to those who are aiming to reach the same success. Their pathway is a great guide for those who are striving here in the crypto world.

All two points are valid for you to make correction on. Satoshi is not an active person that we know and if he was active maybe he may have grown more wealth in the name of Satoshi.

Did you not research the profile of the CEO of Ethereum, I think he deserves to be included in the list of the richest people in the crypto world and another WAVE, ADA or BCH.
If i may suggest and want to know the economics and wealth of the Doge CEO, my thoughts among the list of people you present seem to be for 2021 about wealth it seems the CEO of Doge beats them, curiosity.

OP, looks like your topic title should be changed a little bit from 5 to 10 billionaires, I think crypto entrepreneurs in terms of economy and wealth, some outperform those above, just curious.

What Zhao has been able to turn the whole Binance scene into is impressive.  Props to him for helping Cryptocurrency adoption happen but fuck him for becoming a power and influence thirsty beast.  I only wish he did not have a plan to own all the biggest platforms used by Cryptocurrency users.  It is kind of turning into a business similar to what Google is doing with their Suite and all.

I think Zhao became a billionaire before releasing the Binance Coin.

Satoshi Nakamoto was added because of his bitcoin holding and nothing more, supposed Satoshi Nakamoto is a single person, I believe he will have more than bitcoin, he will have properties, other form of assets and many other cryptocurrencies in assets. Satoshi Nakamoto will be worth more than that, that is why I do not agree to it.

CZ is by far one of the most popular and influential people in the crypto market who has managed to enable many people to be able to trade crypto easily and securely from their various devices.

The names mentioned they became rich because they have their own coins and also do business in the crypto world, well it turns out that crypto can make people rich which may be the beginning of its emergence many underestimate. So this could be the motivation of many people that crypto can provide an benefit not only by holding it for a long period but also building a business in crypto.

You need to include him though, it's about being the wealthiest, and not if they wanted to be anonymous or not. It's just showing that most crypto billionaires are simply people who are both investors and innovators, and not just one or the other. If you were asking for Vitalik, I looked it up real quick and it showed his net worth is around $1.5B (source), which is lower than the 5th place that OP posted. And saying that they're nothing without what Satoshi made is kind of undermining their innovativeness tbh.

It would be more interesting if you provide sources of your research.

Anyway, what's interesting with these data is that from a few crypto billionaires, the world has now more than a handful. This is somehow a testimony that crypto has slowly becoming a trend and it is an attractive trend knowing that there's so much money in it.

What does it imply? Investors would think of crypto-related innovations. The crypto billionaires are, after all, not just investors. Many of them did not become billionaires because they invested so much in Bitcoin early on and HODLed. Many of them are builders or innovators. So there is apparently a growing crypto industry.

It is true that Satoshi is a legend but to put him in a list that compares wealth, it isn't really bad or harming, is it ? , I'm sure, Satoshi is far more richer because of his intelligence levels, he might have made much more money than what we can calculate just from him bitcoin holdings, but since he (or they) are mysterious, nothing much can't be said, but yeah, putting him on richest list is not an insult rather praise I guess

Agreed, Satoshi is the innovator. If this invention hasn't been made, these people can't get into this list. Other than that it is informative to know about the top billionaires from cryptocurrency. Maybe OP can have a seperate thread briefing about the innovators. In that list Satoshi can be added, then Vitalik, and more other inspiring people can be added. I'm quite surprised that Vitalik isn't there in the top list.

You do not need to included Satoshi Nakamoto, we do not know if it is a man, woman or group, His/her/their blockchain invention and anonymity is the superiority, far superior than to be wealthy. Satoshi Nakamoto do not deserves that second position, he/she/they deserve better because he/she/they did what others listed did not do which is the invention of completely digital decentralized currency.

According to my research, CZ's Networth is $96.4B.
He is ranked number 5 in forbes 100 richest men displacing Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook who's Networth sits at $73B.


2. SAM BANKMAN-FRIED



He is the founder and CEO of FTX crypto exchange.

According to my research, his Networth is $22.4B, he is ranked 32nd on Forbes 400 list with a Networth of $22.5B.


3. BRIAN ARMSTRONG



He co-founded coinbase, the largest US crypto exchange by trading volume, he owns 19 percent of the company(coinbase).

According to my research, his Networth is estimated to be around $11.5B.


4. CHRIS LARSEN



He is the Co-founder and chairman of crypto payment protocol, in the place of Ripple(XRP coin).

According to my research, his Networth is $6B, Chris was one of those featured on last year's Forbes richest list.
