I've read that a bit and it's already used on Monero, but AFAIK transaction size is still bigger than normal bitcoin transaction size and verification time isn't much different. Can't see the community will agree for CT + bulletproof anytime soon.

I agree Schnorr will be next major improvement added to Bitcoin and there won't be any drama as people who might start it already have their own drama Tongue

1. MimbleWimble is actively developed, but not for Bitcoin. It lacks support from Bitcoin community, mainly because it's not popular and not compatible with bitcoin script

It's starting to get hard to keep an eye with all the proposals and improvements being developed currently.

Aside from the lightning network and Atomic swaps, I'm not sure how active the development is for other proposals such as MimbleWimble, TumbleBit, Schnorr Signatures, Confidential transactions, and others.

If possible, could anyone experience tell share what is the estimated time to see these things live on bitcoin? (whether It's a beta or stable release)
