Maybe the person in question removed the post quickly after writing it?
Maybe, potentially, but as there's currently no indication... that's why I brought it up Smiley
Edit: I saw what you did there!  Tongue

I would personally turn off this feature as I think there is little reason to visit the forum for the sole reason that someone replied to your topic.
Well, I disagree - that's why I turned that feature on in the first place Wink
I'm not a huge fan of visiting a site just to check if there's any notifications, only to be greeted by a little number that tells me nothing of what the notification is actually about.  With the semi-instant e-mails, I can check wherever I want and see whether it's something I'd like to read about right away, or put it off until later.  But that's me Smiley

But just to address the latter part:
Was that a phishing email or something like that?
Nope, not a phishing e-mail - there's no funny business going on in it, no wacky links, no hidden HTML part with tracking pixels or anything of the sort;
The mx originating path is:
Received: by bitcointalk.org (Postfix, from userid 48)
Received: from bitcointalk.org (bitcointalk.org [109.201.133.195])

Further X-headers ( yes, they can be faked.. if determined enough a phisherman Wink ):
X-PHP-Originating-Script: 0:Subs-Post.php
X-Mailer: SMF

I prefer Zakir over Muhammed when mentioning me!
Was that a phishing email or something like that? OR it might be a tiny bug on the forum.

I would personally turn off this feature as I think there is little reason to visit the forum for the sole reason that someone replied to your topic. To do this you go to profile -> Notifications and email -> When sending notification of a reply to a topic, send the post in the email (but please don't reply to these emails.) [uncheck this box].

Having these notifications would potentially open you up to phishing attacks as someone who knows your email could send you a fake link to the forum in order to capture your email address

This is maybe the third time this has happened in a week's time, and twice in one night.

I got a topic reply notification e-mail:
Quote
A reply has been posted to a topic you are watching by Bitcoin Oz.

View the reply at: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=775174.new;topicseen#new

[etc. etc.]
But when I go there, there's no actual new replies.  I suppose the reply post may have been deleted, but the last 2 were not in self-moderated threads, and admins don't tend to delete posts willy-nilly.
Adding to that, that in this case the user - Bitcoin Oz - hasn't posted anything since February, and I'm curious whether perhaps something is amiss in the topic reply notification system.

( The other one was a notification of a reply by user Gogreen in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=826129.new;topicseen#new - no post there from today ... well, until now just before I hit post, but by a different user Smiley )
