I will be giving my first presentation for WalletBit at this meetup. Any business considering accepting Bitcoins will get an informative overview of how WalletBit works and how you can accept Bitcoin at your business. I will be exploring all of our solutions including our innovative mobile checkout. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

The "intro to bitcoin" talk is one I've given once before; it's really a layman's guide to how Bitcoin actually works behind the scenes. Some of what the talk covers includes what actually happens when you "send" a Bitcoin, and why "send" is in quotes, what mining is actually for, and why even though "coins" are just digital data, they can't be copied and spent twice. You don't need to understand programming, let alone cryptography, although of course if the audience is interested I can go into those details as well. Equally depending on what the audience is interested in, and what the other presenters do, I can talk about the more prosaic details of how you actually buy and spend Bitcoins.

I won't be selling any Bitcoins but for anyone who brings a mobile device and has a WalletBit/ResponsePay account I will give some amount of Bitcoin away. I have not determined exactly how much but I figure approximately one drinks worth is a good start. Our new Mobile Checkout is good for face to face transactions if anyone does want to do that as well.

Will anyone be available for f2f bitcoin selling at the meetup?

Thank you, my real name is Adam Harding and I used to be the accounts manager at Bitcoin Magazine. WalletBit was founded by Kris Henriksen in Denmark but since I have partnered with him, we plan on being just as much of a Canadian company going forward. Are you going to be at the meetup?

It seems you beat me to the punch for organizing this meetup. Naturally, I will be attending and will see the rest of you there. It will be nice to meet fellow bitcoiners in the GTA.
