are you being facetious? i think crack, alcoholism, and prostitution can be bad things.. but i also think money, cars, politicians, guns, and many other things that societal laws allow can be bad as well.
if he didn't have addictive traits, and just did coke for the hell of it from time to time, i wouldn't care. it's not my place to say.

He's not addicted to cocaine, but he does admit to being a total ass when being drunk, classified as a "stupid drunk".
so he's addicted to alcohol, but not to cocaine, drugs or sex... and now that he's quitting alcohol, where do you think he'll turn to? the problem is not the alcohol... it's his tendency for addiction.

A friend of mine was a lazy person... so lazy that he'd piss in empty laundry soap bottles rather than walk 5 more steps to the washroom. After a large number of them piled up, he'd empty them out and found that piss glows after fermenting in a soap jug for a few years. 
I'm paraphrasing a little but I believe he said at a city council meeting recently, "She said I wanted to eat her pussy, I didn't want to eat her pussy, I get more than enough to eat at home, thank you very much!"
