Does anyone have a torrent of the Bitcoin Blockchain that they could send?
Or any way of sending the blockchain over the internet inorder to speed up my initial syncronisation.
I've been told that it may be slower downloading it this way but want to try anyway and at least have a copy of the blockchain.
It depends on which kind you are using, bootstrap.dat or the entire directory. With bootstrap.dat, the entire blockchain is downloaded but the client have to verify it by themselves. If the entire directory has been pre-verified, the client would not have to reverify it unless the user uses -reindex during start up. One downside though, the pre-verified one would obviously be less secure than the bootstrap.dat. Or any way of sending the blockchain over the internet inorder to speed up my initial syncronisation.
