Thank you all for helping.
Localbitcoins was indeed outside working hours and this morning the coins were in my wallet by 9 am.
Pretty good service, considering it was purchased Sunday afternoon and sent there and then.

Considering all of the pending transactions on the blockchain , it was actually quite quick.

So kudos to Localbitcoins and to the blockchain.
Kudos as well to the members that so kindly jumped on and have me some advice regarding my queries.

Thank you very much

First of all thank you very much for replying,  I appreciate your help and advice.
I've tried to attach a screenshot of LBC to see if it looks normal but I can't do it for some reason...

As a newbie your posting privileges are limited. You could just upload the screenshot to an image hosting site (such as imgur.com) and then post the identifying portion of the link (the part that comes after the "http://web.site.url/"). If you post the full link (including the website URL) you may find that the link is stripped out of your post (this is done to prevent newbies from posting phishing links and links to scam sites)

Anyhow, it's showing 2 outgoing transactions,  or maybe it isn't and I'm just being dim.
Either way I submitted a support ticket with them and hope to hear from them soon.
When I do hear from them I will post the outcome here...
Thank you again for the input .

Hope I haven't messed up the forum with posting out of the subject thread . Hope also that if someone else has any further information shares it here and provides me with guidance on what to do for best.

Thanks again

As RGBKey has explained, this doesn't sound like a Bitcoin problem.  It sounds like a localbitcoin.com problem.  If you asked localbitcoins.com to send the bitcoins to 15MCcc5aRukB4XpYwwgaKNakVUgHTGbgmF, and the localbitcoins.com website indicates that they have sent the transaction to that bitcoin address, then localbitcoins.com is wrong.  They never sent the transaction.  You'll need to contact support at that service and convince them to investigate and fix their problem.

If the transaction isn't on the network, it's not because of the congestion but because LBC hasn't sent it yet. I would double check your LBC account page and make sure that you actually withdrew the coins from there. If you did, and it shows but there's just no transaction ID, I would just wait 24 hours for the congestion to die down and see if they're just waiting to send it when fees are significantly lower. So unfortunately, your best option right now is probably just patience.

As the title suggests,  my brain hurts and I'm really at a loss here.
I'd be ever so grateful if someone could restore my faith in BTC and the blockchain.

So I'm reaching out to the hive mind...

So as a total noob Ive been trying to educate myself on bitcoin, the decentralised nature of the economy /ecosystem and the alternative  to a capitalist economy system that serves only to enslave the lot of us.
So I finally took the leap of faith and purchased some bitcoin through localbitcoins in the UK .
Awesome , I thought.
The transaction took literally 5 minutes and I felt quite smart.
Then I tried to transfer that amount of BTC out of the localbitcoins wallet ( as unwanted it in a secure wallet , not an exchange or escrow ) and sent to my receive address of my brand new coinomi wallet.

So I wait and I wait and nothing ....
Zilch , nada , sweet f.a . ...
So then I read about the delays on the network and eventually found this forum...

I've read the "pending transactions" thread on here but still can't understand what I am to do to at least have the reassurance that my transaction will be processed...

First : localbitcoins doesn't show a transaction  I.d. (tx)?
So i don't even have a tx number to send to the miners in order to bribe them to get my transaction  done quicker...

Just has my details and the fact that I purchased the btc and then sent it to my coinomi wallet :
15MCcc5aRukB4XpYwwgaKNakVUgHTGbgmF

2nd: Ive checked the blockchain with my receiving address but is not showing pending or anything , it just says no transaction has been made from or to that wallet?Huh??   Huh

Have I just mucked up or something?
Is this just a "wait and see" scenario or is there something I can do ?or even pay someone to Do?
Am I missing something here?

Am a total noob and I was so excited about entering this alternative economy and philosophy but it's really disheartening for a total beginner to come upon hurdle after hurdle and then be left in the dark ...

I'm starting to wonder if it was such a good idea after all...

Can anyone please help me or at least guide me in what l can do if all I got is the receive address ?

Thank you very much in advance
