From my viewpoint if the BTC are leaving one address and going to another but both are owned by the wallet, saying they are "leaving" the wallet is a bit misleading.

Cause it's a single UTXO. Read on how Bitcoin transactions work.

That's how BTC transactions work.

Thanks for the fast reply (and all the work on armory)!

I understand about change addresses but the wording seems to say that the total leaving the wallet is all the btc, even though they will be returned to it.

From my viewpoint if the BTC are leaving one address and going to another but both are owned by the wallet, saying they are "leaving" the wallet is a bit misleading.

Anyway, thanks again for clearing it up!

Hi guys,

I'm trying to send a small about of BTC from an offline wallet to a segwit wallet.

When I review the transaction, the two destination addresses are the one I put in and a change address (as expected).
The change address is labelled as belonging to my wallet and when I look in my wallet I see the address listed in the change addresses section (as expected).

So far everything looks fine. However, when I go to sign the transaction it says "total leaving wallet: "!

I'm hoping this is just a bad description / bug, since the change is actually going to an address which is supposed to be in my wallet, but I don't dare press send. If this is functioning as intended, then it seems a bit strange that the "total leaving wallet" will always be the entire contents of your wallet (or presumably whichever address is being split).

Thanks in advance for any help.
