If the govt had taken this action within the first place the virus wouldn't have spread so widely throughout the planet Something could are brought in check. As everything is now locked down this step would need to be done way back The virus is now the foremost deadly form in Spain and therefore the us But in other countries that haven't been spread, they need ready off to guard them.

Now still peoples not following in many countries and its spreading very quickly specially in few countries like Iran India and Pakistan but good thing stick locked down by India and Pakistan is going to have some good control but Iranian authorities are facing some serious problems due to restrictions by UN and death toll is rising very quickly.

I think if the government is good in taking care of their people, the lockdown will not go to waste. This is the problem in my country too. We hope that everyone will have the support of the government to make sure they will stay home. Some needed to go out because they needed to work. Just like health workers, the government should provide transpo for them.

Well, some people really go out even though it isn't necessary, but a lot go out because they needed to work for them to have something to eat. The majority of people who follows the lockdown protocol is still higher than who don't. This will work if the government ensures that people can still survive while at home. And this lockdown won't work without testing people. We lack testing kits, we don't even know where's the enemy. South korea survives without lockdown, they just provide mass testing then they separate those who are positive. The government should be accountable in handling this pandemic. They promise their people and they sign up for it. It is not the people who's at fault. It's how the government supports and handle their people. I follow the guidelines of my government, I stay home. However, I can still see why it's not working. Doctors are dying in my country without proper PPE's. We have the budget for this, PPE's used are just donations from people. We can't feel the budget allocated for it. Its been 2 weeks since the lockdown but we still can't feel it, they have to have the sense of urgency but they don't. Senators and politicians wanted to be test even though they are not having the symptoms. PUI people with severe symptoms have to wait for a week to know if they're positive but senators wanted to have their results in 24 hours. Doctors are forced to follow. PUI people are dying. And our positive count continues to grow, and we already know the numbers are enormous, its just that we lack testing kits. Godbless our country. I hope it ends soon.  

When authorities says do not go out, you shouldn't go out if its really no that necessary. The spread of covid19 could stop in a month or 2 if people are just going to stick to what was being ordered for them to do. If we go out and socialize, we only make it worse to prolong the lockdown of the cities. Its not good to keep eating all the noddles, ham and rotten potatoes in weeks.

The pandemic is really dangerous because it brings the worst out of everyone, if people were following the government early on and not complain then crisis was over sooner than later. This crisis should teach us that life is precious and be compassionate to others.

Well its clear the virus exploits two human weaknesses: The need to socialize, and the urge to disobey authority.

It is true that if people voluntarily remained at home two weeks, and then another two weeks, the situation would be over (in exactly a single month). But, humans are humans, and the virus thrives...

Some countries with an iron fist government, such as China or North Korea, successfully contained or completely prevented the virus. While in others the virus have gone out of control, afraid to take the same measures (despite their emergency powers allowing them to do so) fearing.. whatever possible repercussion (economic? popularity?) without giving the due attention this required.

Ironically, it is Europe and the United States of America who had become Super Spreader, this in turn infects poor countries who really have no means to handle their own problems, let alone an imported virus.

I guess people never paid attention to the warnings about a biological disaster. You can bet terrorists are taking notes...

I have said so before: Your freedoms are suspended the moment emergency powers are used, yes including property. When the situation is over, you can take your time suing the gov, but while this is happening, you just shut up and obey period. STAY HOME. People should be doing this voluntarily BEFORE waiting for their inept politicians to tell them to, like i warned people here in February when it was evident Mr Trump (and European leaders) were too busy to order the measures that should have been taken BEFORE the virus even left Wuhan. Then after a month everything would have been over.

Oh but no, "muh freedoms", there they go...

This virus is horrible. Yes, some people won't even feel a thing, but some people can't breath until they die, many of them could be saved in ICU with a ventilator, but there are simply not enough for so many patients at once. The first death in my country occurred simply because no such a thing as a ventilator even exists in the region where he lived (there are almost no ventilators in this country after so many years of gov negligence). Which is why, prevention is our only and last hope.

Many spend at least two weeks in bed with headache and fever (from lack of oxygen, probably like altitude sickness) and no energy even to drink water (which they desperately need) and much less eat. I'm taking this report from a 32 year old model who go it in New York and brought it to Florida in March 10, and was taken to a hospital 12 days later, but was finally released having endured the painful nearly death condition, still recovering with coughs at home. She is from my country, if she was still living here, there would be no hospital, or no ventilator but you don't understand this.

You laughed off the virus, and now the virus is laughing back at you. America has claimed the first spot as the country with the most cases worldwide.

With different living situations, some are lockdown comfortably, and some don't. For me, I'm quite comfortable with the current situation, but I'm saddened by the ones who cannot have a roof above their heads, and in our country, there's a curfew, and I don't know where they are going to be held with the current situation. I doubt that they know what social distancing is and what it could do to help this situation.

I have a friend who went out for a jog the other morning (before the enhanced lockdown here), and a street aid came up to him and asked for money, even food. Unfortunately, he had no money at that time because he was just jogging, but in this case, the street aid is desperate with all of this happening.

I hope that the government would give the right help to those that need it the most to prevent more chaos that could arise in this situation. With all these being said, humanity's evil is brought out when there are desperate times. I think that's the most common within us all.

COVID-19 and the hard-headed people are both dangerous. Remember that it takes two to tango. The virus needed a carrier to survive and the carrier only needs to contact another host for the virus to transfer. It will keep on spreading if people keeps on moving and interacting with one another.

Other than the people on the frontline, it is the poor that the National Government are prioritizing. Unfortunately, corruption is still rampant even in times of a health crisis. Some elected officials are more concerned about themselves and their friends or relatives that they neglect the poorest of the poor in their own district.

COVID-19 affects so much in different countries, it is really dangerous virus to the point that it affects so many people lives, businesses, etc. and the government decided to implement community quarantine to prevent the risk of spreading the virus but still, many people are still going outside to do their stuffs which results to add more infected person.

Actually one of the reason why this virus can't stop is because of those people who don't care about the virus, those person who don't care about the rules of the government. It made me realize, does COVID-19 is the real dangerous or the people?

With that, the government decided to have total lockdown just to kill this virus, this lockdown is really hard for those poor people, it would be hard for them to survive for that total lockdown because not all people would be given a support by the government.
