Keep trying and stay pleasant and nice.
That was back in May. Now, it's time to file a police report and get an arrest warrant for fraud and theft issued for Jered Kenna.

Hi,

I am still waiting for my funds to be returned by Tradehill / Jered Kenna from the first time Tradehill closed its business. About 6 months ago I sent an email to Tradehill, Jered responded, confirmed my account balance and requested a BTC address so he could send the funds. He said he would send out the funds but never did. I have sent multiple gentle 'reminder' emails to both his address and the info address but have never received a response.

Has anyone heard from him or received funds recently?

Thanks

Actually I pull back my offer of letting Jered keep the $22usd.

In our emails, he told me that the price for a sale of 3.24 btc as approx $22usd @ 02/15/2012. Well, someone else can do the math too, but is history + math = lies.

I am owed 3.24 btc from an exchange that only held btc for me after they stopped Paxum withdraws. I have told Jered that I would not have an open order in his order book as a result of this. Further more, the reason why I used TradeHill only as storage was because after I email Tradehill around 01/2012 prior to making a Paxum withdraw to verify the timetable for doing so and assured that I would have my fiat in less than 24 hours, it took weeks and Charlie Sherm of BitInstant to step in, and bring the matter up to Jered personally while vising SanFran at that time.

As of now, as I told Jered before, I do not want fiat as that relationship was severed and his proposed ideas of why my balance is in fiat is not only not possible due to TradeHills own doings, I am now being told that I cannot get back what I deposited.

If this is not resolved, I will be forced to post all materials over the last two years as well as forward them to a journalist I know who write about crypto-currency and other IT articles for a national grey lady.

And Jered,
I trusted you when you told me my account balance was not what I have on record and I even thought I must have been mistaken After fact checking the information you have given me, I have no choice put to come here and take back my words of praise and call you a thief until you return what you have stolen.

I guess I have come to a point of resolve. After speaking with Jered, I as told that my account had approx $22usd in itstead of 3.24 btc. I was also told that this was about the exchange rate for a sale of 3.24btc at that time. Jered has offered to send me a check for the amount that I feel is far from the value of the bitcoins that I had deposited in the exchange. As of this moment I have refused the check on the grounds that I did not deposit fiat or want fiat in return, and that the amount offered would cost more in my time than its value. I have wished Jered the best and hope his new exchange does better than the old.

to me
Andrew,

I just double checked it. Is there any possibility that you had another account?
I've tried a few that I thought might be yours but nothing that matches up.
The numbers match up for selling the Bitcoin at that time back in to dollars.
Also we were offering Paxum withdrawals and then had to stop when their bank asked them to back away from Bitcoin so that could explain the last bit.

Regards,
Jered

Yes, I was you last Paxum withdraw. Charlie Sherm had stepped in because you halted them after I processed one but yet to receive after a very long time and little communication. And no I only had the one account and it would have not had a sale order placed on the coins yet either. This particular deposit was my last one to you that I pretty much gave up hope on after hearing all the bad news. It would have sat as btc until the moment I wished to withdraw which I never reached. Is there a possibility that one of these other accounts is related to my account, or somehow a sale order was placed when the site shut down? Let me know and I will look to see if I can find anything that can help.

Im just sending you off an email to see where we are on this? If its really going to come down to a $20 and 0.00... btc, I would rather you just keep it as it truely is not worth either of our time. However, I truly believe the finial deposited balance of 3.24btc to be accurate at the time of closure and would really hope there is some piece of data with you that supports this. Please get back to me and let me know nad I can decide from there.

Andrew,

It's not difficult to convert the $22 to BTC and send it out. I'd rather give you what our records show then not give you anything at all.
I'm open to looking at any evidence but I've paid out almost everyone from the 30k accounts that we had when we shut down and haven't had any discrepancies yet.

I've taken way too long and been very unresponsive and I owe you for that.

Regards,
Jered

From Me to Jered

Jered,

I know you feel you owe me, but a check for $22 usd dosent do me any good compared to the value of the cryptocurrency. Feel free to keep it as I originally decided when the exchange first closed. Thank you for taking the time to look into this for me and have the best of luck.

These replies you guys are getting from new Tradehill must be hypnotic or even slightly religious.
It's like, after Tradehill refunds people their funds they are instantly converted into religion of Tradehill.

At first i thought it was just some kind of clever scheme to repair their reputation, to make alot of noise about being able to reclaim lost funds, but as more and more such topics / comments float up with different initial attitudes it becomes more and more unlikely.

I would love to see the contents of that reply you got from Tradehill.
(To learn some of that marketing geniality)

I just wanted to say that Jered himself emailed me earlier today and it looks like I will be able to post a tx id and address very shortly if all goes smooth. Honestly, I am just glad that I got a response and I can understand that the people at TradeHill would be busy as of late.
I will go ahead and say that one TradeHill is up, it will become one again my exclusive bitcoin exchange. In the past when issue came up at TradeHill, I also was treated with respect and even had them go way above and beyond in the past where other exchanges toss up roadblocks and create problems for its customers.
I wounder if my TH referral code still is useful Smiley

Well I have sent a few more emails and yet to hear back. I don't want this to turn into a PR nightmare for the exchange, but this lack of even a response from the claim(s)@tradehill.com email is causing me to grow very disappointed. I know they are launching this PRIME service, and I would imagine that they would want to assure investors and clients that all issues have been resolved instead of acting like MtGox

Back when good ol' TradeHill shut down, I  carried a btc balance that I have emailed about several times over the last year to varrious emails @tradehill.com and other contacts for Jered Kenna without even getting a reply. I had just assumed that things had really failed badly and that TradeHill was no more, but a few days ago I went to the site and discovered it has now returned with a re branding of TradeHill Prime (DunderMifflin Infinity) and is now reopening.
At the time of closure, I had 3.24 and some change btc setting in my account and luckily got my usd out just in time before the site went AWOL. I have sent emails without response. I was willing to forgive the debt when I thought TradeHill was closed and not using my coins to fund a new exchange. I expect an email with at least an explanation is in order here Jered, dont you?

They pay if people make a lot of noise. They ignore it otherwise. So, make a lot of noise. The more it looks to Scammer Kenna like the cost to his reputation exceeds the cost of your balance, the likelier it is you'll get paid.

Yes. I agree. I had to bring up reputation to him and I had to include my username and password, too. But in the end, Jared came through for me. Keep it up, and be pleasant. You'll likely prevail.

I have no doubt that they will respond. Like I said, I was willing to forgive and forget the coins, especially due to a situation that came up during my time as a customer that Jared himself stepped in on an issue and resolved it in a manner that was above and beyond customer service. I just would really like a response, even if nothing really comes from it. Yet hearing what bitrebel said above, I am glad promises are being kept.

Keep trying and stay pleasant and nice.
I saw Tradehill came back, tried to call, and e-mail. It took 7 or 8 times calling and e-mails before I got a reply. This was approx. 3-4 weeks ago.
Bitcoins were at $230 or so, and Jared refunded 40 BTC to me, which I had purchased at $13 each. I make a killing and it's all because he held my bitcoins for so long. lol
Keep trying my friend, and you will likely prevail. 3 BTC is nothing compared to 40.

now that's what I call integrity, albeit the slow response from them.
