I refrain from the assumption this is related to Gate.io alone.

Users cannot send the amount of 0.00321 ETH, so the only thing left that's +/- 0.003 is the Ethereum withdrawal fee. Why does the transaction fees move out of the exchange?

But isn't that the weird thing, because maybe these wallets are part of the Gate.io network? And if so, as they systematically withdraw ETH and tokens and send that to the Gate.io wallet, and the other way around, which all seems to go automatically, isn't that the definition of a bot? The way these wallets operate resembles more to computer programming than to human behavior.

A broad variety of users suddenly got the exact same idea to go and deposit ETH @ Gate.io.

Again, just picked a few transactions in the same time-frame:


1. Receiving wallet: 0xbb237b7aabe32f3327eb63c60a07e6aa98e3d315
Seems to provide ETH and tokens to the Liqui.io wallet by the same pattern again, <------- .............. Why?

2. Receiving wallet: 0xf06062f364ee99c01d26196ebd87e01ec81cafb2
Very rich user!? Ctrl-D

3. Receiving wallet: 0xb0ee7c92d1789ba91f2b51ce28c9879a3af89293
Seems like a new wallet, might just be an individual doing a withdrawl. The ETH is transfered from this wallet into a Kraken contract. Ctrl-D.


Is there maybe a website or service that facilitates something like this? Something that might explain the pattern, to which all exchanges are related? Otherwise it looks odd and highly suspicious to me.

Just give it a moment, and I believe lucky number 0.00321 will come again.

- Here we go again. What is this? Someone just facilitates a cash flow as hobby? The wallet where the ETH from Gate.io flows into is a KuCoin wallet.

- Seems active. Added it to bookmarks to keep an eye out for movement, but this can be a normal person, just one richer and more active than number 1.

But what about that non-stop cashflow into the KuCoin wallet? And if you check the outgoing transactions of KuCoin, you're gonna find all kinds of coins being moved out of the KuCoin wallet (into the Gate.io wallet), following the same pattern.

And here's a same kind of wallet operating with both the Binance and KuCoin wallet. Notice the periodic transactions of 69.99 ETH, that pattern goes way back to the first transactions of this wallet (and very interesting as well is to see who made the first deposit into this wallet). Same goes for the tokens in this wallet, just flowing from (several) Binance and KuCoin wallets straight into the Gate.io wallet:

At first, I'm sorry for the confusing nature of this topic.

I've been noticing weird incoming and outgoing transactions at the Gate.io wallet. This is the Gate.io Ethereum wallet (and main token holder):

From time to time these transactions appear, among others (will post more later). Can someone please help me understand this?

Check out the receiving wallets. What is this?

The hashes above are but a minor selection of the total amount of 0.000321 ETH transactions that move from the Gate.io wallet address each time. Every "session" is composed of 5 up to 20 transactions of 0.000321 ETH to separate wallets. It is on such a scale and is ongoing 24/7, this cannot be human activity. I'm compiling a post with loads more at the moment, including a screenshot album showing what looks like systematic manipulation of the order book at Gate.io (QSP/ETH and QSP/USDT).

Have found that kind of wallets being active at large (popular) exchanges. As far as I've been able to track these transactions, the following crypto exchanges seem to facilitate a steady flow of ETH and tokens towards the Gate.io wallet: Binance, KuCoin, Bitfinex, Bittrex. There are a few more more wallets that seem to facilitate this cashflow to Gate.io, but haven't been able to identify them yet (will link them in next post).

And the opposite can be observed as well. This wallet just acts as an intermediate to let funds from the Gate.io wallet flow straight into the Binance wallet. Huh?
