I've been trading crypto since 2015 but I also trade stocks (and options).  I like to leverage all markets especially when we're talking volatility being EVERYWHERE.  Just curious how every else views things.
I am not trading stocks but my friends do. They said that stocks takes time to make profit compared to crypto trading. Maybe it is because cryptocurrency is very volatile compared to fiat which is pretty stable. I am also not interested on centralized assets so I think choosing crypto as my priority would be a nice choice as it is decentralized and profits can be very fast and of course the taxes.

I think it is safer to trade cryptocurrency because with trading cryptocurrency the total supply coin in circulation is very clear and the price has the potential to rise.

I'm away from stock trading for quite some time now but I still have stocks holdings for almost 20 years now. Smiley. And I'm not selling it anytime soon. I didn't quit because I don't like it, I stop because of other factors. Anyways, I think I fell in love with crypto trading ever since I discover it so I'm going to stick with this market for quite some time now. Yes, its better to leverage but I think the correct term should be diversification. Its the best method to hedge against individual or global financial crisis. There's a lot of investments options out there like real state, precious metals etc. So its up to you on how to put your wealth across to help you secure a good future.

I dont know about the stocks , and i only trade crypto in many platform that i need in every tokens that i have . Trading crypto is most profitable than stocks , but stocks is the less risky than crypto . Its up to you if you want to buy stocks and trading crypto but for me just focus in one trading so you are not confused in your trades.

I haven't been particularly active in either crypto or stocks.

My view is markets denominated in fiat currencies aren't as lucrative investment opportunities as they used to be. Markets are becoming more centralized and monopolistic which deters the type of growth necessary for significant ROI. Regulation over the last decade has restricted the growth and credit of small businesses which makes it less likely for small startups to rival the historical growth displayed by google, amazon or apple.

Crypto could be the better overall investment with higher growth potential and perhaps higher potential profit ROI. The lack of regulation in crypto with deregulated markets could contribute towards producing the type of growth stock markets are known for but not structured towards producing in this day and age.

Crypto currency for me is far more profitable than stock trading, in addition to many options that we can choose, crypto currency also has advantages with the price and never a word margin call, so no one loses to spend all his assets when he traded crypto.

I trade neither, but hold index funds to hedge my crypto holdings (or the other way round, depending on how you look at it).

Trying to play either market is not really my cup of tea since I feel that the risk / reward ratio is stacked against me (ie. by definition you won't be able to outperform either market unless you are either exceptionally skilled or exceptionally lucky) so I just try to position myself in a way that is profitable in the long term while exposing myself to what I deem reasonable risk; shifting my holdings only during larger market movements.

I guess you have a very aggresibe appetite when it comes to your investments. I think you are determing crypto as an asset like stock and not a currency. For me cyrpto and stocks are almost the same for they both have a very volatile value.

So half the people who took the poll at this moment don't even trade bitcoin or other crypto? OK  Roll Eyes
Maybe some people just missed this thread, but I think it will start to increase now Smiley

I personally do both, I trade in stock market before but your profit there is not that good as you possible profit in cryptomarket so I think people starts their trading journey here in cryptomarket which is really good for them. Stocks and cryptos is almost the same concepts but in different technology.

I don't trade in stocks exchange, it is too hard to understand for me. it runs under regulations and taxed. crypto is easier to learn in this forum, and easier to access. I just feel free in cryptos which means a lot to me.
You are like me. The stock transaction I have never participated in but will probably not participate because it's a little complex. I like the money market more because it's easy to use and has a huge community of support for new members, very enthusiastic. And make sure electronic money is everyone can join. That is my opinion.

I honestly see stock investments as a waste of money and time. Sure, there have been some tech related stocks that did more than well in the last few years, but none of them come even close to Bitcoin.

I look at things strictly as long term investment, and based on that there isn't anything that can even remotely match that what Bitcoin did for me and will still be doing in the coming years. I would be called a fanboy elsewhere.

Some quotes from Warren Buffett that also apply to Bitcoin and its market.

The stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient.

If you are not willing to own a stock for 10 years, do not even think about owning it for 10 minutes.

Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.

It is not necessary to do extraordinary things to get extraordinary results.

Stocks can be much harder to predict than cryptocurrencies. Maybe I have a biased view because I started early, in 2014 and my first experience was a 60% drop in value followed by an 800% increase, so there was no way to lose on it, even if you were a bad trader and sold too early. You could always go back in and earn some more. I know people who lost 50%, went back in and got it all back. Cryptocurrencies are very forgiving.

I'm not going to be like the rest of the buffoons here who say I do both, because I don't.  Trading crypto is a great way to lose all your money, and I'd much prefer to just play dice with what I have than to play the fool's game on one of these shady exchanges.  No thanks, I want none of that for me.

Stocks?  Yeah I do trade them, but not very frequently.  Most of the time I just buy them for their dividend income, which is better than incurring all sorts of fees and taxes that you have to pay when you're an active trader.  Crypto hasn't quite caught up to the point of stocks in that respect, but it's getting there.

Well, if you have the money to do so then it is much better to trade both cryptocurrency and stocks since it will provide you more profit if you ever make the best decisions. Personally, I have tried trading crypto before, but I didn't have enough experience that's why I lost some money. But that's okay becasue it's just a small amount, I just really tried and experienced how to trade. As long as you have enough knowledge in both crypto and stocks then you'll be fine. Trading either of them is almost similar anyways.

I have had some mutual funds in the past but briefly and maybe a GIC when younger. Never got into traditional investing (never had the funds really) but since learning about crypto it was next to impossible for me not to try it out. Haven't looked back since Smiley
