The habit of trading with Telegram bots is very vulnerable and carries the risk of losing your money, but choose a bot that has clear overalls, make sure we hold the private key to the Telegram bot. The point is to always rely on primary research so as not to lose the assets we have.

Hi everyone, I want to know if trading through Telegram bots is safe or not. If I use a bot, will my funds stay safe? I trade on Solana, and Raydium sometimes doesn't work well. I found a solution with Telegram bots. I discovered a project called School of Meme, which just launched a trading bot with very low fees. The concept seems cool, but I want to ask experts: Is it safe to use the School of Meme bot or any other bot for trading?

It depends.. I've used bonk bot to trade Solana memecoins and I've had no issues. Was even faster than using phantom

The reason why people want to use trading bots is mostly for fresh coins. Usually the coins which just launched you cannot buy yet on Jupiter or Radium, you need to use a bot. I used BONK bot before and didnt have any issues, just loaded a small amount. They charge some fee so be-aware of that.

Keep in mind, you might have better luck than me but most of the newly minted coins are generally rug pulls. In May there was over 500,000 new tokens released, and there was maybe 20-30 successful ones daily, so yours odd of buying a hidden gem are extremely rare.

No, that is a very bad idea. Do not trade using telegram or any third party app.

Why not use a known and trusted DEX? The minimum requirements would be: decentralized, open source and non custodial. Anything else is basically a less secure CEX.

I will advise you to use normal trade site or apps and not anything from telegram and I don't think any trading person in this place will advise you to use telegram to trade because you will end up losing everything so it is better your stop now and use trading apps like deriv or Metatrading apps. Telegram is full with scammers so I don't.like to involve myself in that app. Though I ha e the app for messaging with friends and people I know and not to trade or use it to participate anything wit cryptocurrency.

Even you sound like asking suggestion to this community, I would suspect about paid promotion or you trying to spread a word of your own project but hiding like a common crypto use. These kind of attempts are not new to me. Anyhow, we cannot have any generalized opinion on telegram bots. Some may stay legit for some times then may start scamming; you cannot blame anyone expect yourself.

Maybe they should understand first on what type of bots they are trying to avail also if there's something suspicious thing been offered by the owner since if they said that they can generate a sure quick profit for it then its a scam. But if the used of these tool is what you have been said then we can say it safe so better for newbies to figure out those things so that they can make sure they are safe and escape from possible scams.
Well, that was already their problem and not ours because they did not make a research if what are those bots and if they do, they will realized that their expectations are false. Maybe the seller of the bot is also responsible for these false beliefs of the naive individuals because they poison their thoughts with their misleading marketing. They don't care about the safety of others but what is important for them is only to sell their products and make money easily.

Telegram is not new and I've noticed a lot of bots including the new ones that have been implemented to it like gambling for example, so this trading bot inside it might also be safe but as long as the creator is also trusted.

I dont know if this is some sort of flexing and pretending that you didn't know but its actually yours or connected into it,or simply doens't know on what it is.

Here: If you dont know if these bots are legit then i would say better take precaution. Why? There would be tons of legit platforms out there CEX or DEX on which you could really be able to
trade up some coins/tokens instead on risking on depositing with some telegram wallet used by those bots. The only telegram bot that i do make use of is BONKBOT which is focusing on
solana based coins since i've been trading lately with some solana memes then i could say that this bot is really that convenient and versatile on which you could really be able to adjust according into your needs
and preference.

Unlike with other wallets on which you cant be able to export or know the PK then this one is something that you could possibly be able to check it out which is great.
I havent been able to make use of that some official bot on TG but by the sounds of it then i dont think that it could be trusted. It would be always best to stick into those
known or popular ones for you to be able to avoid such situation of scam.

I think if these telegram bots will serve as a platform like the ones that we're using for swapping, I'd be fine to use them but with small amounts. Not an actual wallet.

So, the swap goes through them like the instant exchanges, I might give it a try but not going to be more than $50.

But I need to find tons of reviews first before trying them out. If it's with the experience, I'll try it soon but not this time.

But some other people have wrong expectation about those bots since they think that it could give them easy money if they avail this tool. That's why I discourage them to acquire that if they aim to  earn some profit by using this bots.

I never trade with telegram bots because the money will not be handled by this third party for me it feels unsafe you have to be careful using telegram bots sometimes it's a scam.

However, there are some people trading meme coins on the solana network using this bot (https://x.com/TrojanOnSolana) they say this bot is very powerful and able to generate profits but again for me it doesn't make sense to risk our money on any bot.

Trade your own way, but having your own skills can be profitable.

I would not trust a third party app to handle my money. That is not what the point of cryptocurrency is, in the first place.

If you absolutely have to use that bot then at least do some thorough research on whether or not it is open source.

It's unsecured platform to trust your money with, the possibility start with you end up connecting to a fake bot instead of legit that is more often possible with telegram platform and then I don't understand how these bots actually work, it is kind of p2p or they really let the users to load the money and start trading for other coins like the conventional exchanges?

You should avoid trusting third party app or bots if you can because you might end up losing it all
Try other platforms like Orca (https://www.orca.so) and Jupiter. They seem to load faster than Raydium probably because of the popularity

Are you asking or promoting? But i say it is safe to use telegram bot for dex trading, at least for small scale trading but make sure to only use known/popular bot only, and you hold the private key of the wallet inside the bot

If it's about safety, I would say that it's not safe. If you keep your funds there, you're not safe. If you are there to trade, I don't know, I haven't used it but I probably won't do any trade on a telegram bot.

Another meme coin but I'd avoid any kind of bot in telegram.

Its all the same and much better if you stop looking at those trading bots if your aim is to earn some profit by using it. Much better to invest on your own skill and knowledge since this is much helpful for you in long term. Those bots has been used by scammers to deceive people so its more better if you don't feed them so they will totally vanish. Usually they really offer cool stuff to their potential clients but same on what you experience on other they will fade out and you will not satisfied again for the performance they provide. So maybe now try to trade without using it since you might enjoy doing all things manually since its really more challenging to watch the market and read some news about the latest trends and what is the hot topic today which is related on trading.
