@OP I believe Poloniex brought theirs back after removing it for some time.

The chats are gossip and they don't solve any problems. They only make the traders lose focus and FOMO. But troll box are also a way for people to be entertained and chat while trading. I think it's an interesting function even though they're pointless.

Yes that's true. Most of known exchange like Yobit and Hitbtc... have this chat box for users. Some are in home page and others are in the trade window when the trade is active. I remember see this also in some decentralised exchanges.

I know some exchanges that can both chat and trade: INDODEX, HITBTC, YOBIT, ROCKET.EXCHAGE (this is an AMM on Lamden blockchain).
Also, you can trade P2P on platforms like Binance, Houbi, OKex so you can chat.

Are you trying to tell the live chat or open chat while the market is active?. Mostly they don't recommend this because there are a lot of manipulators or trolls who can victim other traders. I agree with Charles-Tim I just know for the live chat of the platform customer support or the p2p exchange because this requires communication with the transaction of both parties.

I only know Yobit (and a few local exchanges so far). Why would you need a trollbox anyway? I don't think it will help you that much, since most of the time it's a place for shillers. You might be able to use Discord and join a trading group though, I think that will be much better compared to Yobit's trollbox.

Do not get you exactly. Why the need for chatting on trading platforms?

But in case of p2p exchanges, if you are making an exchange or a trade with someone, the message chat will be opened, where both if you can communicate directly with each other.
