If you're in the states you need to think about the (FinCEN) "money transmitter laws".

Hi, just wanted to get people's opinions on my plan for building an auction site or a private selling site for alternate cryptocurrencies mainly. I have been focused on making an auction site but the more I read the more I get disheartened that my idea isn't really possible because most if not all of the sales and purchases will have to go through paypal which would be risky for anyone who wants to sell on the site.

I've been a seller on ebay for a while now in cryptocurrencies and been doing fine but ebay are becoming increasingly restrictive in what you are allowed to sell and their fees are ridiculous. I've had no problems with paypal through selling on ebay though as a private seller so I'm starting to think that maybe a private site would be a more viable option. Of course I take on a bit of risk myself with scammers but there's a lot of good people out there too interested in buying cryptocurrency as quickly as possible and without having to pay ebays massive fees I can offer them quick delivery like I do on ebay at a more reasonable price.

I'm at a crossroads on where to go next here and I've already invested some money into my idea, just looking for some advice on what people would think is the best course of action and any input or suggestions would be welcome!
