I had the same problem a few months ago. I had a large sum (over £5k) and wanted to buy some coins. I started with BitBargain but found they never really had the volume of what I wanted to buy. Plus my bank were being a bit funny with random payee's being added then sent money maybe 2-3 times a day. Which meant sometimes the transaction didn't go through, hurting your reputation on the site.

So, I bit the bullet, called my bank and did a bank transfer to MtGox and waited a good 3 weeks with chasing them to find out where it went. But it did turn up, I bought the coins I needed for an avalon and that's it for now.

If I had to do it again I'd probably use BTC-E - but I liked the idea of keeping the currency in GBP with MtGox.

Hi there,

I'm looking to put some RL money into my bitcoin wallet, and i have had a look at MtGox and BTC-E, but they dont take credit/debit cards from what i can see.

So i've had a look at Bitbargin (i'm in the UK) and that seems a little easier, at least if i do a bank transfer with the people on there, it uses the faster payments system.

Now i have sold a load of stuff i don't need/want on ebay and have got quite a bit of money from it, so how would you change that back into BTC?

I would assume paypal it to your account, then transfer that to your chosen market place, seeing as the idea of using paypal to buy is like throwing garlic at a vampire (which is justified).

Has to be said though, the last time i went through this much verification, i got a shotgun licence Tongue.

Thanks for any help.
