Interesting...   So will this work itself out? I check the transaction I made shortly after this one and it doesn't share any of the same inputs.

Edit:

I did find the double spend... I have another transaction from just a few minutes ago that is sharing 4 of the same inputs, it has yet to be confirmed.

How the hell did this happen?  Do I just wait?

What client are you using? I have seen some interesting tx's like this recently and am curious. Nodes such as those run by blockchain.info reject such tx's for having high-S values but that doesn't appear to be the case here.

I am using Electrum 2.5.4

I haven't got to test this wallet yet unfortunately, it crashed on my new computer just last night when I tried installing Undecided

Keep an eye on it and eventually it will clear the mempool I suppose. I am going to do more research but perhaps someone else with latest Electrum experience can chime in. They also have a very helpful irc channel on freenode, #electrum

Edit:  The lastest transaction that was trying to use one of the same inputs as the one in questions just got a confirmation. So I guess that settles it? Sorry I am not that savy.  I this correct? Here is the new transaction that spent 4 of the same inputs.

EDIT: One of the tx's may eventually be confirmed if it gets broadcast around the network. If the coins show back up in your wallet, you still may want to move the coins to another address you control, as someone could see the raw tx and rebroadcast it.

I made a transaction earlier today and it has completely vanished.  I have had transactions sit in limbo not getting confirmed for hours before but the txid on this one doesn't exists. The strange thing is it was a deposit to a site, that gave me credit for the incoming transaction before it disappeared (I have contacted them). My wallet did show the outgoing transaction but lost sync with the network after a while and I had to relaunch. Now the outgoing transaction isn't even in my transaction history and the coin is back in my wallet. How long should I wait before taking any kind of action? There have been 18 blocks found since I sent the coin in question as of now.
